It was stupid, I know.
I couldn't just sit and watch though.
I couldn't watch her bleed out on the floor.
It was as painful for me as it was for her. Seeing her in pain triggered a reaction in me that I never knew existed. I was furious, to say the least.
I gulped my invisibility potion as quickly as I could. The scorching sensation of the violet liquid raced down my throat until it reached my stomach, coating every inch of my skin in the familiar tingling sensation.
However, before I could get acclimated to the sensation, I felt myself drift into nothingness, a queasy sensation overpowering the tingling one as my feet made contact with the ground once again, only this time instead of grass, I was standing on oak wood.
My gaze was drawn to the young girl bleeding out onto the floor, the sight overwhelming me with fear and regret. I gripped her hand, which was now drenched in her own blood, as gently as I could in my frantic state. My invisible eyes locked with a pair of watery blue ones belonging to the youngster locked within the black stone cage just as I was ready to leave.
I swiftly drew him out of the hole with my other hand, standing him in front of me as he wrapped an arm around what appeared to be a floating Y/N. I fumbled through my pockets as I watched her E/C eyes flutter shut. She fell limp in my grip, causing a strange sense of terror in me as I tossed my pearl as far as I possibly could before grabbing ahold of the pair once again.
As our feet landed on the grass, my hold on the duo strengthened. I carefully picked up the unconscious Y/N as the tingling effect ran over me again, signalling that the potion's effects had worn off. As I hurried forward, Tubbo remained motionless, staring at me.
"Come on, she needs medical attention"
He just nodded before falling into pace with me, both of us running to safety.
After about ten minutes of running, I placed Y/N's weak body down on a cot and turned to the Tubbo, who was still shaking."Look after her as best you can okay? The wound isn't too fatal, the main worry should be blood loss. And if you tell anyone about this, you'll be sorry. Understood?"
The boy just nodded at me.As I took one last look at her unconscious figure, I knew she was in good hands.
And with that, I disappeared into thin air.
Y/N's POV
All I saw was darkness as I heard the distant yells echo around me.
"He's just like us..."
Hearing Wilbur's voice drenched with the tone of insanity was enough to make me force my heavy eyelids open.I sat on an incredibly uncomfortable, battered bed with no pillows and only a towel as a blanket to keep me warm in the freezing room. Each wall was constructed entirely of jagged stone, which appeared to have been freshly dug to create a way for this exact place. It didn't take me long for me to adjust to the dim lighting, which made me spot the small table in the room's back corner. I noticed a pile of what appeared to be cloth on the wooden table and hesitantly grabbed it.
I instantly put the beanie on my head after feeling the woollen texture under my skin. It provided me with a sense of comfort as I became aware of the pain in my chest.
"It stays in the pit"
His monotone voice rung out in the cave I found myself sitting within. The sound of his voice sent shivers up my spine as I recalled the events from when I was last conscious. Before I knew it, I was as ready as I could be, carefully shifting my weight onto my feet and resting against the stone wall for support. I walked forward, my gaze drawn to the light streaming through the doorway and the sinister voice I recognised. As I found myself surrounded by the familiar cave walls I had unwittingly called home, a cry of pain echoed throughout the ravine. Another piercing scream erupted, this time louder. I paused for a brief minute when I heard the sound, and then a memory flashed through my mind.
I stood there watching him as he sat peacefully on a tree branch, a mischievous grin plastered on his face.
"I'm going to go to the top Y/N!"
I giggled at the youngster's antics as I watched him grab hold of a higher branch and gently hoist himself onto it.
"Be careful Tommy!"
"Yeah yeah..."
He kept climbing for another minute or so, becoming less cautious with the branches as he went higher. He reached out again, his confidence getting the better of him, and he began lifting himself up onto the branch without testing it to see if it could hold his weight.
God did he regret that when it snapped beneath him.
The child let out an agonising scream as his body collided with each branch he'd previously climbed, ultimately protecting him from the fall but tossing his small figure around like a ping pong ball in the process.
Shaking the memory out of the thoughts, I hurried forward, trying to reach my distressed brother before any further harm could come to him.
I may have pushed myself a little too far...A wave of dizziness washed over me as a stabbing pain in my side caused me to scream. I awaited the pain that would shoot up my spine once I'd landed on my arse as I stumbled backwards, but it never came. Instead, two strong arms wrapped themselves around my torso as the smell of vanilla and peppermint filled my nostrils.
Slowly, I was able to raise my head, locking eyes with the ones who belonged to the pearly white mask.
"Hey Clayyyyy"
As I felt the man beneath the demented mask go still as his name fell off my mouth, I smiled drunkenly at him. My stomach turned with a single flutter, and my smile softened somewhat. The abrupt realisation of the circumstance I'd found myself in jolted me back to my feet, sending another rush of nausea through me as I tumbled over once more. This time, however, I was caught by a different pair of arms. The smell of coffee and books flooded my nostrils, but something inside of me yearned for the nearly forgotten smell of peppermint after being away from the masked man for so long.
I gingerly smiled up at Wilbur, who sent a smirk back in return.
"YOU'RE AWAKE!... Why the fuck is the green bastard here?"
I swivelled around to see my bleeding brother, his face pale as if he'd seen a ghost.Wanting to make sure he's okay, I stood up once again, this time more slowly with a lot more caution. I felt Wilbur's arms around my waist as I balanced myself, earning a scoff from the masked man which I responded to with a glare. I mean, it was pathetic that I couldn't walk... But, hey, I'd just been hit by a firework, so suck it green boi.
I turned to Tommy as he hurried over, swallowing me in a tight hug as he began to apologise profusely.
"I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry Y/N. You could have died..."
"Why are you apologising? Everything's fine... Isn't it?"
As I spoke, everyone fell silent, including Niki, Tubbo, Techno, and Quackity, as they all fixed their gaze on me."Wilbur was going to blow it up..."
