I started coming to my senses when I realised I was being shaken rapidly. Someone's hand seemed to be squeezing my shoulder as I rolled over in my bed."What is it?"
I slowly opened my heavy eyelids and gazed up at the person that had disturbed me from my slumber."Y/N you need to get up. Wilbur expects us to be in the van in five minutes"
My eyes darted over the boy's facial features, quickly realising I was looking into the eyes of a small, brunette boy who had a peculiar obsession with bees.
"Okay, I'll be as quick as I can Tubbo"
Tubbo quickly turned around and began walking across my room toward the door."Oh and Tubbo?"
He came to a complete stop in front of the door before turning to face me.
"Thank you for coming back for us"
"Oh come on Y/N you really didn't think I was just gonna leave you all down there"He smiled briefly before turning away and disappearing through the doorway, not even waiting for my response. Sitting up, I quickly threw on some fresh clothes and hurried over to the van.
As I walked through the wooden door into the van's main area, I noticed all the boys gathered around the table, waiting for me. Wilbur sent me a brief nod before he straightened himself out.
"Right, so now that everyone's here, I called you all here this morning to let you know that I'm meeting Dream later today, in around 30 minutes I think. There are a lot of different outcomes that could come from our meeting, so I want you all to be prepared for the worst, okay?"
I took a few steps back and peered around the room. Wilbur was in the middle of the van, at the head of the table, with Fundy and Tubbo on the counter on the left and Tommy on the right.
"Wilbur, why exactly are you going to meet the bastard?"
Tommy looked sceptical as he eyed up his leader, an odd glint in his eye I hadn't seen before."Tommy, I'm going to try and negotiate with him. We need to come to some sort of agreement that isn't war, It's the best for both sides"
"Oh yeah, well that makes sense then"
Tommy leaned back against the window, casting a glance in my direction before returning his gaze to Wilbur."Right so now that's sorted, I'm going to head up to the remains of the embassy to prepare for the meeting. I'm going to be alone and unarmed, that's what we agreed on"
Wilbur then turned and walked away, leaving me and the other boys in complete silence."I can't fucking believe this"
All eyes turned to Tommy as he broke the stillness that surrounded us.
"What can't you believe Tommy?"
Tubbo seemed to have snapped out of a daydream at Tommy's words and was staring at the boy oddly."Everything Tubbo. Everything was going perfectly, we were winning the war, but Eret had to go and fuck us over like that. I trusted him with my life and he goes and does shit like that. For all that I know, any of you could be a traitor"
"Woah woah woah Tommy, calm yourself"
Tommy would have probably ended up accusing everyone of bizarre stuff if I hadn't intervened."We've all been here from the start. Our bond is a family bond and no one can break that. We're in this together and we always have been. I'd never even considered betraying you guys. You're all I have"
"You don't understand Y/N. You just showed up and now you seem to think you own the place. You think you're going to make a difference or something"
"Tommy..."
Tommy got to his feet and began walking over to me, pointing an accusing finger into the centre of my chest, clearly overwhelmed with anger."No Y/N shut the fuck up, it isn't all about you okay. You weren't there when we stayed up night after night making this place the best it could be. You weren't there when we needed you. So why do we need you now?"
He turned and walked out, slamming the door behind him. There was no ironic remark, no funny laugh to end his outburst, nothing. I couldn't think of anything to say, and for the first time in what seemed like an eternity, I was silent.
"Look Y/N I'm sure he didn't mean it like that"
In an attempt to reassure me, Fundy placed a soft touch on my shoulder, but I shrugged him off."No Fundy, I should've been here. I shouldn't have left, and we all know it deep down. It's just that Tommy is the only one who has the guts to say it"
"No Y/N, you did what you thought was right at the time and what you thought was best for us. Tommy's just frustrated about Eret's betrayal, that's all. He doesn't mean it like that"
I nodded briefly before heading over to the door my younger brother had left through a couple of minutes beforehand."I'll just give him some space for now"
Closing the door behind me, I quickly made my way across the luscious green grass as the sun shone down on it from the sky. A genuine smile crossed my features as I looked around at what L'manburg had become. It was stunning. You wouldn't have known that the country was in the midst of a war. But a green blob storming towards the gates caught my attention a few moments later, Wilbur and Tommy quickly rushing past him and into L'manburg. I turned the other way and minded my own business until I heard Wilbur calling me over.Tubbo and Fundy had followed me out of the van after I'd left it a few minutes earlier, and they'd heard the commotions as well. We all moved closer to the trio, but I chose to keep my distance, standing beside Tubbo and making sure to stay as far away from Tommy as possible.
"What's going on?"
