"You know the Blade?"I jumped back slightly from my embrace as I realised my younger brother was still standing at the cave entrance. I took a step back and turned to face him, only to find him accompanied by an extremely pale Wilbur, who had a slight glint in his eye that I'd never seen before.
"Can I explain inside? Wilbur shouldn't be up on two feet for too long"
Wilbur's hazel eyes met mine for a few seconds before he turned away and disappeared back into the cave.
"What's up with him?"
The monotone voice caught me by surprise as I began following the brunette who had just vanished and I found him sitting on the same ledge I'd left him on earlier."Well Blade, we just got kicked out of our own nation and Wilbur just had to get himself shot in our great escape, so now we're planning a revolution"
Both mine and Wilbur's mouths fell wide open as the young blond revealed our undisclosed plan to the man who'd literally stepped through the door two minutes prior for a reason we didn't know.He could've been a spy, or he could've come to hand us over to the authorities. I knew he'd been in cahoots with none other than the green masked man himself since our last encounter, so what was to stop him from leading his old friend to us?
"Tommy!"
Even in his frail state, Will managed to sound frightening, his expression becoming infuriated as he stared holes in the back of the blond's head.
"Whatttt, it's THE blade! He's literally known for taking down governments! You of all people should know that!"
I shifted my focus from my younger brother to the brunette, giving him a confused expression as he was yet to meet my eyes."What does he mean by..."
"Techno's my brother"
My jaw was practically on the floor as my eyes darted between the two boys.
"Why'd you never tell me that Techno?"
As he inspected my face, the corners of his eyes crinkled ever so slightly from behind his mask, and I could see he was trying hard not to smile."How was I meant to know you knew the guy?"
"Because I never shut up about him?"
After realising what I'd just said, I quickly clapped my hand over my mouth as my cheeks flushed, watching a slight tone of crimson coat Wilbur's pale cheeks."Anyways Potato Man, to what do we owe the pleasure?"
Tommy seemed completely oblivious as
I directed the conversation down a new path, drawing everyone's attention back to the blood god in front of us."Well umm"
"Come on, spit it out"
I turned to slap my brother on the shoulder only to see Wilbur do it first. He flashed me a small smile before turning to confront his brother."The voices..."
As I realised what he was saying, his voice faded away. Only once had Techno informed me about the voices, and that was when they began to get really bad again.
He claimed that he felt as if he had a swarm of insane people within his head, all of whom were bloodthirsty and asking for some type of violence. But after he informed me of their presence, they became protective of me, according to him, because they noticed my quick understatement nature.I offered him a comforting smile and tried to silently tell him that he didn't have to continue if he didn't want to, but he didn't seem to get the message.
"They told me that you were all in trouble and it was my job to protect you all, so I followed my instincts and ended up here""Techno"
All eyes landed on the brunette after his sudden outburst as he got up and walked over to the pink-haired man.
"If I were to let you join us, would you train us and help us fight back?"
"Yes"
His response was quick and without hesitation, and a smile slowly crept across my face.
