Third Person POV

Everyone was there.

Well, almost everyone.

They were lined up on each side of the wooden path.

Everyone greeted the teenagers with a sad smile on their face, already knowing what was about to come.

The two teenagers began walking down the path, smiling and nodding to everyone they passed.

Even though everyone knew they were afraid, they tried to seem confident in an attempt to give their friends some hope.

But that wasn't what was on the young blond boy's mind.

As he nodded and said his goodbyes to the people who had come to see him and his companion off, he couldn't help but feel disappointed in himself at the absence of his sister.

It hurt to see she hadn't come.
Every cruel word he'd said to her was slowly eating him alive from the inside out. He was well aware that he'd misdirected his anger at her, but it would never excuse the way he acted towards her.

Turning around to send a final wave to the friends he'd made over the years, he nodded once at Tubbo, and they headed off into the unknown.

The boys walked for hours on end.
Through forests, grasslands, and even sailed across an ocean.
But it would be worth it.

They knew they were at their destination when the red arrow of the compass in the brunette's hand turned to the right, pointing directly at a huge mountain.
As the blond boy sighed, they both slowly began to climb.

The blond pushed himself up onto a ledge before turning around and offering his brunette companion a hand up.
After they took a couple of minutes to hype each other up, they headed off to explore.

As the pair of boys rounded the final corner of their journey, they both simultaneously froze.

A pool of what looked like fresh blood had caught their attention, yet there was no sign of the source. With both the boys on edge, they continue around the corner, only to freeze once again.

Both of them followed the trail of blood with their eyes until their gazes fell on a tall, blond boy who sat on a rock, cradling a body in his arms. His sobs echoed around them as tears streamed down his cheeks.

The younger blond boy's lower lip trembled as he took a few steps forward, his gaze fixed on the h/c haired girl wrapped in the man's arms.
"What did you do?"

The green-eyed boy refused to look at the teenager.
"What the fuck did you do Dream?"
Tommy staggered closer to the once masked man as he began to recognise the features of the girl in his grip.
"No. No. No. No. No."

The blond teen dropped to his knees as he pulled the girl's pale body away from the older male and began cradling her in his arms.
"Y/N. Hey Y/N wake up. Come on, we need to beat this guy's ass Y/N..."
"She's dead Tommy"
Tommy turned to face Tubbo for only a moment as tears welled up in each of their eyes.
"No, she isn't. Hey Y/N, this isn't funny"
He began combing her hair with his hands, brushing away any stray strands that fell onto her face.
