Third Person POV

The girl walked for hours on end.
Through forests, grasslands, and even sailed across an ocean.
But it would be worth it.

She knew she was at her destination when the red arrow of the compass in her hand turned to the right, pointing directly at a huge mountain.
Sighing to herself, she slowly began to climb.

The girl pushed herself up onto a ledge and lay down on a patch of grass to gather her breath after what seemed like hours. A couple of minutes later, she got up and brushed herself down, heading off to explore.

As she rounded a bend, the girl stayed hidden in the shadows, analysing the situation before making her move.
Beyond where she hid sat a tall, blond boy on a rock, wiping a bloodied mask as he awaited his alleged victims, a wicked smirk on his face. It was a look she'd come to despise. The look that would make it all so much easier. The sight that she needed in order to finally face him and say goodbye.

She cleared her throat to finally make her presence known, taking a step back around the rock to stay hidden. The blond male looked up from his bloody hands as he glanced around the cliffs that surrounded him. The noise seemed to echo around the stone walls he found himself within, making it impossible to pinpoint its source.
"Hello?"

For about a minute, silence rang out as the blond stood up as discreetly as he could, waiting for his new companion to make another noise.
"Hi Clay"
As soon as the girl's voice reached his ears, he froze. But his thoughts were quick to assess what was going on. There was no way she could've found him without a helping hand from her brother, without there being a plan.

As the blond's mind wandered to the possibility of some sort of diversion, he began to pace, keeping an eye out for any activity or noise.
"I know that this is probably really out of the blue and I don't really want to talk to you either but I want to know why. Why are you doing this Clay?"
The girl leaned against the jagged rocks behind her, waiting for the response she knew would come.

"You know exactly why I'm doing this
Y/N. It's for the best and we both know it. If Tommy realises how much power he holds, we can bring peace to the lands"
The girl sighed and buried her head in her hands, too preoccupied with her thoughts to notice the pebble she nudged with her foot, but the boy picked up on the almost silent noise.

Zoning out of what the girl was trying to say to him, the boy went to search for the source of the sound in hopes of finding two teenagers. He had a few theories about what was going on, but only one stood out.
Tommy was there.

It was the only way it could all make sense. They knew he'd listen to her, and the two youngsters could plan an ambush to catch him off guard. The blond, on the other hand, was confident that he would come out on top.

Slowly slipping his hand into his belt, he carefully wrapped his hand around the hilt of a small iron dagger and continued onwards. He strode across the lush grass before coming to a stop opposite a tall grey bolder. With silence lingering in the air, he decided to tiptoe around it to try and confirm his suspicions.

Soon the sound of someone gently breathing made its way to his ear and it was then that he raised his dagger and took another step forward. Taking one final breath, he leapt around the rock and extended his arm forward, the dagger still held tightly in his hand.

When he heard a brief grunt, he knew he'd hit his target.
With a wide smile on his face, he looked up at his next victim.
