Once we got back, I retreated to my bed, passing out as soon as my head hit my soft pillow, automatically allowing myself to be consumed by the comforting darkness.

I was awakened by a light tapping on my door. As I dragged myself out of the warm bedsheets, a small yawn escaped my lips. I shuffled over to the door and opened it slightly, peering through the gap to see an exhausted Sapnap.

"Hello?"
His drowsy eyes slowly made their way up to meet mine.
"Oh hey. Morning Y/N"
I opened the door fully so I could stand face to face with the slightly taller male.
"Good morning Sap. What brings you here?"
The man in question just stood and looked at me for a moment, trying to process what I had asked.

"Oh yeah, right. Dream has requested that you go to his office along with me and George for a meeting"
I paused for a moment, gulping at the thought of being stuck in a room with all three of them at once.
"Yeah, okay. Do I have time to get changed?"
I glanced down at my lower body, which was still covered in the soft material of my outfit from the evening before, since I'd been too tired to change out of it when I got back to my room.

"Oh umm, yeah sure. That should be fine. Just be quick okay?"
I nodded and quickly spun round, making sure to shut the door behind me before I hurried over to the set of drawers that sat in the back of my room. I searched through the drawers until I found a couple of things that looked like they would fit decently. An oversized orange t-shirt and baggy grey sweats. Slipping out of the stunning outfit from the night before, I set it down neatly on my bed before I pulled my new outfit on. I quickly threw my hair up and headed to the door.

Sapnap just seemed to stare at me for a couple of seconds, a look on his face that I couldn't quite read.
"You look nice"
His words brought a smile to my face. Out of the three boys that I'd met, he seemed to be the most kind and outgoing out of them all. He just had such a friendly vibe about him, but I hadn't forgotten about what he'd done to my little brother.

"Thank you Sap. So let's get going then"
A huge grin spread across Sapanp's face as he offered his arm to me, which I happily took. He and I slowly wandered out of the house arm in arm towards the castle, which was where Dream's office apparently was. We were cracking jokes and laughing together as we went, acting like two little kids.

We entered the castle through the grand oak doors, making our way up a couple of flights of stairs as we began to wander around the corridors, making a lot of noise.

"What?"
"Did I stutter? Stupid bitch"
That sent me off in a fit of laugher, tears streaming down my cheeks while barely being able to breathe.

Once I gained composure again, Sapnap dragged me to the door at the end of the hallway we were in, before he harshly opened the doors so they swung and hit the walls, making a grand entrance for himself and I.

"HEY MAMASSSS"
His words sent me into another one of my giggling fits again and George's shocked face only powered my fit further. He just stood there, staring at Sapnap, biting his lip to try to stop himself from laughing along with the two of us. He then looked over Sap's shoulder to give me a questioning look, which I responded to with a shrug before I entered the room properly.

Maybe it wasn't all going to be that bad after all.

I was standing in a rather large room. The walls were all painted black with emerald green cloth covering every window. Sat near the back of the room was a large dark oak desk with pieces of paper scattered all over it. Behind that sat a black office chair that looked the same as any other.

Beyond that sat a painting. The painting showed three young boys, around fifteen or sixteen, mucking around in a field as the sun set behind them. One sat on the ground, clearly tired, wearing a white jumper with longish black hair. Another was being chased. He wore a blue t-shirt with tuffs of brunette hair sitting on his head. And then there was the last boy who chased the one wearing blue. He had shining blond hair with sharp green eyes that almost matched the hoodie he was wearing perfectly. They looked so peaceful, so happy and so free.

In front of the desk sat a couple of leather seats, three to be precise. They all faced the desk, so I presumed they were for Sapnap, George, and I, and Sapnap confirmed my theory as he dragged me over to the left seat while he took the middle one and George took the right.

We all just sat and talked as we waited for Dream to make his appearance, but my eyes kept on getting drawn to the blond boy in the painting. He seemed so familiar, but I couldn't put my finger on who it was.

"Who's that in the painting?"
I blurted it out before I could stop myself, curiosity getting the better of me.
"Oh it's me, Dream and Sapnap. It was the first time we'd all seen each other in months. Dream had been away training with his dad, so it had just been me and Sapnap for a while. The painting was the last gift his parents ever gave him"

I turned to look at George, wanting to question him further about Dream's parents, but I stopped myself from doing so. I turned back to the painting, examining the green-eyed boy again.

"So that's Dream without..."

"Yeah, that's me before I started wearing the mask"
