A tall blond boy stood in front of me. His hair was a mess, with strands jutting out from every direction, almost as if he hadn't brushed it in days. His dark blue eyes shone in the bright light of the ballroom as they connected with mine, but I didn't fail to notice the dark bags that sat beneath them. Unlike everyone else, the teenager wasn't dressed up at all and appeared to have put the least amount of effort into getting ready as possible. He wore baggy black trousers paired with his iconic white t-shirt with red sleeves. Classic Tommy.

I slowly reached my hand out to grab ahold of his own one he had held out for me to take.

"It would be an honour kind sir"
I sarcastically bowed as a smile quickly grew on my face before we both headed over to the dance floor, the pair of us practically crying from laughing.

"Anyway, Big T, how've you been?"
I wrapped one of my arms around his waist while he did the same to me. He brought his other hand up to meet mine and quickly interlocked our fingers while we began to dance alongside everyone else as a new song began to play. When we were younger, we used to dance around all the time in hopes of being able to attend a formal event. But to say we were any good at it would have been a massive exaggeration.

"It's been decent. We've all just been repairing the huge hole that the green bastard made"
I nodded at my brother as I felt a ramble coming on, silently telling him to continue. I couldn't explain how happy I was just to see a joke slip out as he spoke, even if he was talking about something that had hurt him.

"Wilbur has been acting a bit strange though. I think he's a little on edge after the whole Eret betrayal situation. His and Fundy's relationship also seems to be going to shit, which is actually really sad to watch. It makes me feel helpless. Tubbo really misses you. Well, everyone really misses you, but Tubbo misses you a lot more than everyone else, apart from me, obviously. He sat and cried for hours when you left about how you'd just got back and he never got to show you his bee and stuff like that. He's a little better now though, which is good. He also keeps on going on about how he saw you at the gates with Dream yesterday or something"

A sad smile appeared on my face as I recalled the funny little story, and I was quite surprised that I didn't notice the young bee-loving boy.
"Oh yeah, that's a funny story. Dream left my room door open. I then left, obviously. I made it all the way back to L'manburgs walls. I was even on the wooden path. But who stood in my way? None other than the green bastard himself. He'd planned the whole thing with his stupid high IQ. I fucking hate the bitch honestly"

"Well that makes a lot more sense actually. I totally didn't think Tubbo was hallucinating or anything..."
"Wow Tommy, wow"
"What do you expect woman? He's Tubbo!"
"Oh my..."
I pretended to be extremely offended by his statement, screwing up my face and giving him a dirty look.

"Did you just refer to me as a woman, Thomas Innit? Unbelievable, I thought we'd agreed that I was above everyone, but I guess not anymore... Child"
His was quickly turned pale as flames of fury appeared in his eyes while a stern look on his face spread across his features.
"Now you listen to me miss 'hey I saved your life so now I'm cool' I am a man, a big man at that, so I think you should shut your mouth okay?"

"Woah, is big man Tommy getting defensive? Oh my..."
"Right, that's enough talking for you two"
The abrupt sound of a voice startled me, and I quickly spun around to find myself looking straight into the masked man's chest.

"Oh come on Dream, she's literally gonna be with you for the rest of time or something, surely you could spare another minute or two"
"We're leaving. Now"

He sounded angry, evidently agitated by the youngster in front of him, or perhaps by the chat he had with the man wearing the gold chains. I guess I'd never know. His eyes seemed to stay locked on my brother, but every once in a while, he would break their silent staring contest so he would look at me.

"See you on the battlefield Thomas"

With that, he grabbed my wrist and yanked me away from my brother. I squirmed in his grip, trying to twist my hand free, but my efforts made no difference.

"You didn't even let me say goodbye"
In an attempt to agitate the man, I made myself limp against him, meaning he would have to practically drag me across the floor if he wanted to take me anywhere. I had expected him to stop and give me a telling off or something, but he didn't even bat an eye.

"We have no time for goodbyes Y/N"
I rolled my eyes, letting out a huff as I crossed my free arm over my chest.
"You don't seem to have time for anything green man"
"That's because I'm busy"
His voice stayed calm as he spoke, which only annoyed me further.

"Busy doing what?"
"Busy preparing for war"
I rolled my eyes yet again, not sure what I expected in response. I sighed and rested my head on the back of his arm, wondering how one guy could be so power-hungry.

"What's the hurry for now then?"
"We're going on night patrol tonight"
That's when I found myself fumbling over my feet in an attempt to stand. The boy also came to a stop at his words, turning to face me as I finally stood upright.

"We?"
