"Have you ever considered becoming an actress? Because that was one hell of a show"
"You literally dragged me out of there against my will."
"Oh come on now, don't act like a child, we're friends, I wouldn't hurt you"
"Friends, my mother fucking ass, you dipshit"

At that moment, I was being dragged through the nether by a rather pissed Dream, due to the fact that I'd refused to move for the last 20 minutes, leading to him hauling me to wherever the fuck he was gonna take me. I also swore a lot whenever he spoke to me, furious that he pulled the kidnapping card right after he went on about how he was looking out for his own best interests. Egotistical, narcissistic, self-absorbed, bastard. Am I right?

Anyway, we were now in a crimson biome, about two metres from a one-hundred-foot drop, and one wrong move would almost certainly send me over the edge.
"May I ask why I've been taken?"
"Dramatic effect"
I just crossed my arms and let out a huff, slumping further into his stomach as he chuckled, tightening his grip around my waist as I felt his chest vibrate from behind me as he laughed.

"You know I thought you were different now. Yeah, I thought you had changed, had a little character development, yet you're still the same arsehole that destroyed everything my family worked for years ago"
He simply snorted and continued walking, occasionally tripping over a tree root or a stone. We continued to walk in silence, with only our own breaths and the horrifying sounds of the creatures that lay deep within the land to be heard. The silence was starting to get to me as I squirmed in his grip, eventually stilling so I could turn and face the mask.

"You know, you weren't that bad when you pretended you cared. We could have actually been friends"
He snorted once more before completely releasing his grip on me, causing me to tumble forward and land on all fours with a grunt. I slid over on to my back, groaning, and the green bitch didn't even bat an eye.

"You're really quick to jump to conclusions, aren't you?"
I slowly brought myself to my feet and steadied myself, before going to walk over to him.
"What am I supposed to do green man?"
He just sighed as he turned to face me, shadow covering his masked face completely.

"Just have a little faith in me. That's all I ask of you"
"And why on Earth would I do that Dream! Every. Single. Time. I put the slightest bit of faith in you, and you make me regret it. Every time!"
He turned away, his mask glowing warmly as he faced the sheer drop leading to the wide plains of lava ponds and netherrack.

"Well maybe if I had someone who I knew would be there for me no matter what, I wouldn't doubt that they'd end up leaving me like everyone else has!"
"That's who I've been trying to be for you, Clay, but your stupidity won't let me! Every time you just push me away with your dumb little acts, trying to act like a big man or something, just give it a break already"
He turned back around and stepped closer to me, dangerously close. I could hear his ragged breathing hit against his mask, making me shuffle backwards ever so slightly.

"Maybe it would be helpful if you actually tried? Like maybe you should hear me out before you start being so dramatic about everything"
I just laughed as I stretched my arms out, cracking my knuckles in the process.
"You know what, Clay, I'm done with your shit"
I turned to walk away, only to feel a firm grip clasp around my wrist.

"I didn't mean that Y/N... I need you"
"But you need to prove to me that I can trust you! The basis of any sort of relationship is trust Clay, and every time I try to you fuck me over again and again"
"I don't mean too"
I snorted, snatching my hand away from his grip as I walked back a few paces.
"Of course you don't. Why would you?"
"No Y/N I'm serious"
I sighed as my hesitancy overtook my better judgement.

"What do you mean by that?"
"Whenever something happens that involves the slightest bit of conflict or violence, I feel myself go numb, like nothing matters anymore. I can't control it, it just comes over me when I least expect it. But there's always a motive, a reason behind it that I can't tell anyone because then I won't be able to serve my purpose as the villain that's meant to be alone"
"And you expect me to just believe that?"
"I don't, but I trust you enough to tell you no matter if you believe me or not"

Due to the fact that we were both distracted bickering with one another, we didn't notice the lonely ghast float down from the abyss above. It was only when it cried out that our attention was drawn to it, but it was all too late as the fireball struck the ground just in front of Dream, sending him flying into the air.
"Holy shit, are you alright?"
I stood there watching him as he sat slumped against the netherrack, his chest rising and falling quickly as he tried to regain his breath.

"So you do care huh?"
As I walked closer to him, I let out a small chuckle before staring down at his slouched form.
"I mean, I wouldn't be standing here listening to your nonsense if I didn't, would I, dumb ass?"
"Yeah yeah, whatever you say"
I laughed to myself as I knelt in front of him and carefully peeled aside his mask so I could look into his eyes.

"You didn't answer my question, are you alright?"
"Well you know what would make me feel better"
I tilted my head in curiosity as I moved one of his several strands of loose hair behind his ear.
"A wittle kissy wissy"
I quite literally choked as I heard his words, my cheeks instantly flushing red as I realised he was actually serious.

But then an idea came to mind.

I slowly leaned forward, watching the blond flush red before grinning widely, also beginning to lean in, but I quickly brought my hand up to ruffle his hair, silently rejecting him in my process.

"Isn't that Gogy's job Clay? You wouldn't want to upset your little Georgie now, would you?"
As I began to back away, I felt something soft land on my face for a brief moment before disappearing, and the green-eyed boy's expression said it all.

"Did you just-"
"What? We both know you wanted one"
I just stood there speechless as I lifted my hand to touch the spot on my cheek where the blond had just kissed.

He seemed unfazed as he brushed off the dirt that had gathered on his clothes as he stood up, not even batting an eye at what he had just did.
"Come on then, I have places to be"
He wrapped his arm around mine and began walking in the same way we were going in the first place before I could even answer.

"Where are we even going?"
"The portal"
I just watched on as he straightened his mask out, seemingly staring straight ahead.
"The portal is back that way"
I tilted my head back in the direction we'd just come from to indicate what direction I meant, but he just shrugged.

"I don't like that portal much"
And that's all that was said before we fell back into silence, trudging our way through the nether.
