To my younger brother,

I know I'm not your favourite person, I'm low on that list. You didn't have to say anything. I'm aware, from the glares, clipped responses, shrugging me off, to your scoff. You've made it clear how annoyed you were. I was always a chore. The person you didn't want tagging along.

It's okay. I carry that feeling around but won't even frown. But that won't change how you mean everything to me. Because you are my favourite person even when I'm constantly met with the cold shoulder. As long as you're happy, I can accept that I'm not yours. Because in the end, good things never last. You of all people should know that by now Tommy.

You're probably wondering why I'm sending this letter when you clearly wanted nothing to do with me the last time I saw you. I'm doing what you asked for. I'm leaving.

I'm going out to stay with Techno for a while just to get away from it all. I think it's for the best. You'll get your space and I'll get mine, but I'll always be a letter away if you need me.

Just remember that I'll always be here for you Tommy, even when you don't want me to be.

Sincerely,
Y/N

Sighing, I placed my quill down on my desk and grabbed the envelope next to it, plopping the parchment inside. After sealing it and signing my name, I stood up and brushed myself down, heading for the door at the other side of the room.

Slowly opening the door, I cast a final glance over my shoulder at the room where the masked madman once stayed in but it had been deserted. There was no evidence that anyone had ever entered the room, and the same was true throughout the house. To say the least, it was a heartbreaking sight to see, but the show must go on.

It didn't take long for me to make my way to the front door and finally leave the house. Walking away was a lot easier than I expected, but it didn't stop me from being a little hesitant as I began my walk along the wooden path.

There was little to no wind as I walked, leaving my footsteps as the only sound as I headed to Tommy's. As the evening fog settled in for the night, the sky began to darken, leaving everything looking quite sketchy.

The feeling of being watched wasn't something I was used to, so when the hairs on the back of my neck stood up, I was pretty convinced someone was there. As panic surged over me, I quickened my pace to almost a run, peering over my shoulder after every few steps.

Soon the sound of a second pair of footsteps surrounded me as I continued forth, constantly looking around in hopes of working out where the noise was coming from.

As the noises became louder, I kept my gaze fixed on the path behind me, oblivious to what I was about to walk into. When I stumbled over something and landed in the middle of someone's chest, I felt my heart leap into my throat.

Attempting but failing to pull away, I ended up punching the being in the gut, earning a grunt, before turning and running.
"Oi, what was the for?"
I froze as I swivelled around on my feet, locking eyes with a pair of red and green eyes.

"Wait so it was you?"
Ranboo just stared at me, his face strangely expressionless. He took a step back and looked me over, his gaze falling on the paper in my palm, avoiding the question completely.
"What's that?"
I furrowed my eyebrows as I looked into his glanced over eyes, confused as to why it mattered.

"Just a letter to Tommy. I was actually going to give it to you or Tubbo so he didn't need to see me..."
"You should deliver it"
I took a step back, surprised that the enderman had cut over me.
"He's away in Snowchester with Tubbo at the moment anyway!"

I just nodded as I briefly looked the enderman up and down, trying to spot anything out of the ordinary that could've caused his strange attitude.
"Well I'll see you later Y/N, I need to go see Punz"
He then walked past me, his elbow striking my shoulder, but he didn't seem to notice. I went on my way, confused, hoping to not bump into anyone else on my journey.

It didn't take me long to get to the top of the hill where my brother's house was.
Or where it used to be at least.
Where Tommy's house once stood appeared to be devouring Tommy's demolished home.

I approached the blazing structure slowly, lowering the sealed envelope in my hands onto the ground at a safe distance from the fire. I could feel the heat radiating from the flames as I finally stepped foot onto the red material that stood where wood and dirt once did.

As the flames rose, the netherack seemed to wrap itself around the house's inside, making it difficult for me to navigate my way through the sea of red.
But I managed.
Raising a hand to my mouth in an attempt to not inhale too much smoke, my gaze landed on something brown that stood out among the continual reds and oranges.

As I cautiously approached the object, I quickly saw it was a chest raised above the flames to prevent it from catching fire like the rest of the room.
As the smoke began to clog my lungs, I carefully made my way over to the chest, opening it quickly and snatching its contents before quickly making my way back out into the open.

Looking down at my hands, I carefully flipped over the two compasses in my hand while placing the dirty book on the ground for the time being.
Each compass glowed slightly purple as the moon's light reflected against them, the little red arrows contained within pointing to the west.

Putting a single compass in my pocket, I swapped the other with the book on the ground and quickly peeled open its pages to look down at the scribbles that lay within.

Come see me Wednesday.
You and Tubbo ALONE.
If anyone else shows up,
the discs will be gone,
forever.

Sighing to myself as I looked over the handwriting, rolling my eyes at how immature the masked man was being over a couple of discs, but I knew he wasn't going to back down anytime soon.

Putting two and two together pretty quickly, I took out the compass I had put in my pocket a few minutes before.

And I followed it.
