"I don't think we've properly introduced ourselves. I'm Dream"

I stumbled backwards, somehow losing my balance as I tried to get away from the masked lunatic who'd been watching me for who knows how long. I prepared myself for impact, not expecting a hand to quickly wrap itself around my forearm.

"Woah princess. I don't mean any harm, well, not right now anyway"
I could hear the smirk in his voice as I instantly pulled my arm out of his grasp, a disgusted expression on my face.

"So, you never answered my question"
He seemed to look down ever so slightly as his masked eyes looked me up and down. I backed away a little more as a shiver shot up my spine.

"What's it to you? Why does it matter?"
I felt my heels meet the edge of my roof that led to a ten-foot drop. Before I could do anything more, the masked man approached me and plopped himself on the roof's edge, patting a spot next to him, trying to get me to do the same.

"Just curiosity, that's all"
I cautiously lowered myself beside him, glancing up at the sky above us to avoid eye contact. I could tell he already knew who I was by the tone of his voice. I turned to face him, a sarcastic grin on my lips, and extended my hand toward him.

"I'm Y/N, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance"
Even though I expressed my annoyance in my tone of voice, I still managed to gain a snigger from the boy opposite me as he shook my hand.
"So you must be the one Eret's been mentioning"
As he spoke, his voice grew softer, making the insane man sound more like an old friend.

"Why would Eret mention me? I barely know them
Eret was someone I'd only met the day before. I couldn't think of a good reason for him to mention me to the enemy other than the fact that I was a newcomer, so I assumed that's what he did.

"Apparently you're one of the founders of L'Manburg?"
I wasn't sure how he knew that since I hadn't mentioned it once since my reappearance. I thought Tommy or Will may have mentioned it when Eret first appeared or something.

"I mean, it was mine and Tommy's idea to sell drugs, so yeah, I guess"
"So are you and Tommy close?"
I rolled my eyes at him.
"You know we are green man"
"Hmmm"

Silence lingered amongst us both as I turned back to look at the stars, rather content with how the conversation was going. Even if he was the enemy, he still seemed alright.

"So what brings you here today green man?"
Silence filled the air once again as the green man considered his response.
"Well umm.."
He rubbed the back of his neck with his hand in an odd manner.
"I kind of came to umm thank you I guess? I don't know. Fuck. I'm really shit at this. I don't usually thank people for stuff"

"Oh it's fine honestly..."

"You literally saved George's life Y/N and spared mine and Sapnap's in the meantime, so the least I could do is thank you for it"

At his remark, my face flushed pink. It was something I'd never experienced before. Being appreciated. As a result, every compliment I received seemed to have an impact on me.
"So that's their names. I always called them goggles and bandana boy"
I accidentally let a giggle slip from my lips before I smacked my hand over them.
"Yeah, George has the clout goggles and Sapnap has the bandana. We make up the Dream team"

"Niceeeee"
"You really are related to Tommy aren't you"
He chuckled as he stood up and extended his hand to me. I gratefully accepted it and pulled myself up, just managing to stop myself from falling into the masked boy that stood before me.

"Well I better get going, it's my shot to look after Gogy. Bye Y/N"
I looked up to say my goodbyes to be met by nothing. He had already made his way halfway across L'manburg, slipping into the darkness and the night that awaited. Letting out a content sigh, I gradually make my way back to my bedroom and into my bed, falling asleep with a small grin on my face.

Dream's POV

I burst through the community house's doors to find Sapnap and Eret playing cards while George lay across the sofa watching. Sapnap seemed to be the first one to acknowledge my reappearance as he turned to face me while I made my way over to them.

"Ello Dreamie, nice to have you back. Want to play?"
"I can't right now Sapnap. I need to work on a plan for tomorrow"
I turned to leave before I heard George speak up.

"Where have you been actually? You said you'd be gone for only ten minutes, but it's almost been an hour"
I turned back to face the injured boy lying on the sofa.
"Now you see George, I bumped into a special little someone that might be our key to winning this war"
"Alright, inform us then"

"So, I went back to L'Manburg to finish preparing for tomorrow but I spotted the girl, so I decided to introduce myself formally, trying to come off nice and stuff, because sooner or later we're gonna have to gain her trust. She did make it known that she is indeed Tommy's sister and that they're close, leading me to think that Tommy would do anything for her. See where I'm going with this?"

They all quickly noded before I continued.
"If we get the girl, and use her as leverage, we can force the boy to hand over those precious discs of his. I think they all care about her too much to let her get hurt. It would also lead to weakening L'Manburg yet again at the loss of another member. Giving us, yet again, more power"

I paused for a moment to make sure they understood what I was saying before continuing once again.

"And due to the lack of knowledge she has about this all, we could potentially get her to side with us without the others knowing, making her our secret weapon"
