So, two weeks later, I was sitting on a hill, staring at the twinkling stars in the dark night sky, pondering why I chose to stay. Why I hadn't left them to fend for themselves. Ultimately, I didn't want to stoop to their level, betraying them and all that, even though each and every one of them deserved it.

Yet I couldn't bring myself to leave. They were all I ever had. I obviously had Sapnap and the others, but they were seen as allies to Schlatt, and I refused to be labelled as such. So there I was, sitting alone in the dark, wishing I hadn't returned home from my trip years ago.

A nearby twig snapping made me sit up and move my attention in the direction of the sudden noise. Silence followed for a few minutes before warm hands covered my eyes, completely covering my vision.

"Oh Y/NNNNNNNNNNN"
And there it was: the annoying flutter in my stomach that made me want to puke every time he mentioned my name, which he'd started saying a lot more frequently. At this rate, I'd prefer if he just called me the stupid pet names.

"Sup Dre, isn't it past your bedtime?"
With an exaggerated gasp, he took his hands from my eyes. After my little outburst a couple of weeks ago, me and the homeless Teletubby had become closer, with him mainly babying me as I recovered from my firework wound.

"Oh come on now, we all know it's George that sleeps 24/7"
"Touché green man, touché"
I've managed to keep my distance from the other Pogtopia members throughout my recovery, with the exception of Niki Tubbo and Quackity, whom I didn't believe were to blame. They were only doing what was asked of them.

Every other night, I found myself escaping the cramped ravine, away from Tommy's screaming, Techno's complaints, and Wilbur's crazy rants. Wherever I went, no matter when or where I was, the green blob would show up, sometimes even before I arrived, and other times he would appear at random.

"So how you feeling?"
"I'm the same as always Clay"
"So overwhelmingly numb and useless because you've been incapable of doing anything for yourself due to the injury that was inflicted on you by none other than your supposed long time friend, the blood god himself?"
I turned around to face the masked man kneeling behind me. His head tilted as he waited for my response, the mask's eyes catching mine.

"As I said, the same as normal"
"Well Y/N, it's your lucky day!"
I furrowed my eyebrows before rolling away from the masked man. He just stuffed his hands into his pockets before pulling out two rather large bottles and opening them both before handing one of them to me.

"M'lady"
I accepted the bottle with hesitation, never breaking eye contact with the mask.
"How do I know this isn't drugged?"
"Oh myyyy, you're so dramatic"
He quickly switched our bottles before chugging almost half of my old one.

"Are you drunk?"
"No"
"Sure you're not"
I smiled lightly before lifting the bottle to my lips and taking a sip. As the strong smell filled my nostrils, the burning sensation of alcohol flowed down my throat. And it went on like that for a couple of hours, with me gradually losing my senses as the booze took over.

The green blob had discarded his mask long ago, so now his dilated green eyes stared into my own while he smiled like there was no tomorrow. I was a giggling, hiccuping mess, thinking that every word he said was the funniest thing I'd ever heard.

"Have you ever been inside a washing machine before? Because I sure have. I was like weeeeee weeeeee because it was spinning around and around and around and then. Then- I cried I think. Probably did, but I did it again anyway"
I was rolling around giggling, tears welling up in my eyes as I struggled to keep my laughter under control.

"Imagine you had amnesia and didn't know it? Hi, by the way"
"Hullo"
I froze as my eyes widened, watching Dream happily roll away to grab his mask.
"Pinkyyyy, wait a minuteeeeee. My face is too beautiful for you to seeeeee"
I heard a snort from behind me and I turned to face the pink-haired man who was already staring straight at me.

"Whatttt? Are you gonna hit me with a firework again?"
That set Dream off again, and I honestly thought he was going to piss himself.
"Shut it piss baby"
He came to sit beside me, face masked, but I could still sense the cheesy grin behind it as we both peered down at the blood god.

"Wilbur wants to talk to you Y/N..."
"Wilbur can suck my di..."
My brilliant retort was cut short as Dream slammed his hand over my lips, prompting me to lick his hand.
"Ewwww, you're disgusting"
"Your fault"

"Naaa, I want to hear what happenssss"
"Fine"
I stood up and brushed away the dirt that had gathered on my clothes before I felt a hand grab mine.
"If he tries any of his shit Y/N, you tell me, okay?"
That was the most sober I'd seen him that night, his voice severe as his mask's dead eyes met with mine.

"Calm it Dreamy, I'll be fine"
"Sure you will"
I gasped, clutching my heart with my hand.
"A-Are you being sarcastic..."
"Maybe"

"Come on lovebirds, I don't have all day and neither does Will"
"Pshhh, she wishes, I'm Gogy's and Gogy's only"
I let out a giggle as I watched him roll away into the tree line before disappearing from my sight.

I staggered down the hill, shoving past Techno in the process, and heading to the stairs that led to the centre of Pogtopia.
"You alright?"
The monotone voice startled me as I stumbled my way down the stairs, giggling as I did so.

"Never better Tec, never better"
A trenchcoat-wearing giant appeared from around the corner before he could respond.

"I need a word Y/N"
"Make it quick, I'm a busy person, you know, with plenty of places to be and a lot of people to see"
I watched as the brunette took a step back, scrunching his nose.

"Are you drunk?"
"What's it to you, bitch boy? It's not like you care"
He reached out for my hand, which only made me shrink away, avoiding his grip completely.

"We all regret what happened Y/N, more than anything. And I know that we're not exactly on the best of terms at the moment, but I need your help"
I just collapsed on the floor, the sound of my now limp body hitting the ground echoing throughout the ravine as I let out a long sigh.

"Holy shit, are you alright?"
I ignored him completely as I looked up at the dripstone on the cave's roof.
"You always come crawling back for my help, don't you?"
I watched Wilbur open and close his mouth for a few seconds before he managed to come up with a response.

"I know we do Y/N, but we're going to war, and we need your help..."
"What? Because you've become a loose cannon? Because half of our team is made up of children? Because you think Techno's going to listen to the voices again? Or is it because you're scared Wilbur Soot? You're scared that you're going to break your promise to Tommy and blow it up, aren't you?"

"Blowing up Manburg has nothing to do with it, Y/N. Me and Tommy made a deal and I'm planning on keeping it. But we need to set everything aside. Y/N, I need your help. We need your help. All of us. We won't be able to get our home back without you..."

For the first time that night, I made eye contact with his hazel pair as I sat up and crossed my arms.
"What's in it for me?"

"Freedom"
