SAKUSA KIYOOMIWas I too late?
Why didn't I know of this?
Why did Miya always had to reach her first?
I lowered my head in defeat, leaning on the wall before letting out a heavy sigh.
But Saki said she doesn't like anyone right now? Then why? Why is she going on a date with Miya? Does she have feelings for him?
I should've looked for her first. I should've ran out of the court before everyone on the team got to. I should've reached her first, talked to her first, and asked her first.
But why was Miya able to get to her first?
"We should head back now, I still have to meet my Karasuno friends." I heard her spoke as their footsteps started approaching my direction.
"Yeah and we still have interviews." Atsumu said.
Shit, I need to leave before they see me—
"Oh, Kiyo-chan? What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be with your team right now?"
"Kiyoomi!"
Fuck.
Before I had the chance to turn around, I felt a pair of arms wrapped around my body and a chuckle followed as the footsteps stopped behind me.
"Get off me, Daina-san. I'm sweaty." I coldly said, trying not to sound annoyed.
"I'm just soooo proud!"
"I said get off—"
"C'mon now Kiyoomi-chan, you just won against Japan's top team, be happy!" A voice interrupted.
"I am, Koemi." A growl came from my mouth as I managed to pry the hugging woman off me. "Now get out of the way. I have to get back there."
"Oh and before you do, did you know there are fireworks tomorrow night?" Daina said.
I mentally scoffed. Of course I do. I was planning to take Saki there, not until Miya had to interfere. I grumbled incoherent words.
The two women ignore me as I turned to my sister's husband for help, but unfortunately I knew he's just like a lost puppy around Koemi as he only mouthed a 'congratulations' before smiling nervously.
"Nē nē, Kiyoomi? What do you say?"
I wanted to say 'no' immediately, but there was something holding me back to do so. And not a second later, the speaker of the arena boomed all throughout the place as it called for every player's name to be on court in three minutes.
My eyes darted to the speaker behind me, staring at it for no reason, until something had my gaze leaving the audio device.
Atsumu and Misaki were walking to the opposite direction, their backs against mines as they walked farther. It seemed like they didn't notice me as they continued laughing in their own conversations, with Atsumu's hand snaking around Misaki's waist.
