YUA MISAKI

"How ironic how I want fresh air and yet here I am breathing smoke." I muttered to myself, puffing out smoke one more time before placing the cigarette on the ash tray.

I've been here in the balcony for almost an hour now, just smoking because I felt like wanting too. Deciding that I have to stop for tonight, I let out a heavy sigh before surveying the place.

I walked back inside, making my way to the bar counter as I sat on one of the high stools. I don't know how or why but a part of me felt nervous tonight. It was as if something's in my mind but I can't figure out what. Which is why I decided to do this habit that I've been having for a long time now.

I hate it. I hate how it burned my throat and lungs. I hate how it smells. I hate how it calms me down. And I hate that I hate it but I can't seem to stop.

"What would you want, miss?" The bartender asked, breaking me out of my thoughts.

Looking up, I croaked out from a dry throat. "Water."

"Okay, coming—"

"The lady's having a shot of tequila." An unfamiliar voice interrupted, making me and the barman turn our heads to the side.

A man was looking back at me with a smug smirk on his face. I shot him a confused look, watching him prop his elbow on the counter while he looked at me with a malicious look in his eyes.

"Drink's on me." He winked then turned back to the barman. "Make that two."

"I asked for water." I bluntly stated but the bartender has already gone off.

"Wanna take that body of yours to the dance floor or to somewhere more private?"

"No."

"Playing hard to get, ey?" He smirked, making me grimace in disgust. "That turns me on even more."

"Umm, I'm here with someone, you see." I replied as nervousness started taking over me.

Calm down. Just ask a glass of water then leave.

The barman came back, placing a shot glass filled with tequila in front of me. The liquor's strong scent dominated my nostrils as if it was the only thing I could smell at the moment. Carefully, I pushed it back to the man and turned to where the bartender stood only to see him gone, entertaining other customers by the far end.

Shit. Now I'm alone with this man.

"Have a drink with me, will 'ya? It's rude to refuse." He spoke again, pushing the small shot glass back to me. "It'd be a waste of my money."

"I didn't ask for a drink."

"Ooh you're feisty. Make you more," he licked his lips, "sexier."

I rolled my eyes and just sat there, waiting for the bartender to come back, until I felt a grab on my hand. Startled, I turned to my side once more and was about to throw the shot glass that the man has abruptly placed on my hand without permission when all of a sudden, someone yanked it from my hand.

"Hey!" He yelled angrily at something behind me.

I turned around to see a familiar wavy-haired man, the two moles on the top of his right eyebrow stood out in the blaring disco lights. He drank the alcoholic beverage in one gulp, placing the shot glass in the counter with a small 'clank' with no sort of reaction in his face.

"The lady wants water." Sakusa said coldly that sent shivers down my spine.

"Mind your own business." The man beside me snarled. "Who do you think you are interrupting our private conversation?"
