THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW"Thanks for coming with me tonight."
Sakusa took her hands in his, gently holding them as the two stood face to face by the doorway of the brunette's apartment door.
"Whatever Koemi said, it's irrelevant to what we have now. I'll talk to her, hm?"
"Yoomi," Misaki brought one hand to cup his cheek, "it's okay. I'm fine. I handled it. Okay?"
The ace nodded as he pulled his mask down, then he leaned forward to place a gentle kiss on the woman's forehead before lowering himself, finally pecking her lips.
His lips curled into a small smile as he pulled away before he wore his mask again. "I'll get going now." He spoke.
"Be safe."
Kiyoomi never failed to notice the sadness behind her eyes.
"I will."
"Goodnight...then." Misaki hesitantly replied.
Sakusa walked away. As she stood behind watching him go, a part of her felt like it was fading into distance with him. Each step he took towards the elevator tugged at her heartstrings, leaving melodies replaying:
Stop him before it's too late.
Misaki wished Kiyoomi would turn on his heel and meet her eyes - see right through her and get the message, that they were living in borrowed time.
"Kiyoomi...!" The brunette called before the man could step foot on the steel floors.
"Saki?" Sakusa turned around, hands stuffed in the pockets of his trousers. "Is there something wrong?" He asked.
His lover jogged up to him, her steps thudding across the carpeted hallway while she does. When she reached him, she slowly wrapped her arms around his large frame, startling the wavy-haired man by this action.
"I...wanna spend as much time as I can with you." Misaki trembled.
She relaxed at his touch, feeling his arm wrap around her shoulders.
"Can you stay for the night?"
Nights like this, it's just Misaki and Sakusa in their own little world. Wrapped in this enclosure, they find comfort and warmth. With soft lights and gentle whispers, they share their thoughts and dreams, feeling a sense of peace and contentment.
Dinner was three hours ago. A silent alarm rang at the strike of midnight. And the city lights that once illuminated the balcony from the room was far long gone, yet to them, the night was still young.
Sakusa had his elbow propped on the pillow as he gazed into her hazel orbs, the ones he always gets lost in - he found solace in the comforting stares of his beloved.
No words exchanged, just silent giggles and steady breaths as they lose themselves in the galaxies behind their eyes.
This silent exchange painted a clear canvas of connection and chemistry, the kind you'll only see once in a lifetime. Each glance felt like an intimate conversation, a communication of lost souls bridging words that were far long unspoken by their once distant hearts.
Sakusa pulled her closer, Misaki pulled him lower. The touch of their lips ignited a symphony of emotions-a fair blend of passion, nostalgia, and a hunger for reconnection that has been withheld for years.
"What is your happiest moment?" Misaki whispered softly as she pulled away, never leaving his gaze.
"I think it's happening right now." Sakusa responded, eyes half lidded as he leaned in for more.
