YUA MISAKIAfter Atsumu dropped his teammates at the gym, he insisted on driving me to the mall where I will be meeting up with Tomoe. Knowing him, he can't accept 'no' for an answer, and so he escorted me inside the place as he waited for my bestfriend to arrive.
Right when Tomoe showed up while they greeted each other and conversed for a short while, Atsumu had to leave as practice will be starting soon — right after he stole a quick peck on my cheek.
His sudden action left me speechless, blushing, and Tomoe nudging me non-stop as she teased. But it wasn't enough to send butterflies fluttering in my stomach or my heart racing.
Shrugging it off, I turned to Tomoe to see her smiling wide with...red puffy eyes?
"Why the sudden call?" I asked.
She jumped up and down, grabbing my hand like a kid and didn't spoke a word as she dragged me to a cafe nearest to where we stood.
After taking our orders, my auburn-haired bestfriend quickly pushed me down to the nearest chair while she settled on the opposite side.
So I waited for her to speak, confused at her bubbly demeanor, until I saw a glint of sparkle by the corner of my eye. Tomoe suddenly grabbed my hand, clasping it tightly as she leaned closer to me.
"Be my maid of honor!" She started yelling with excitement. "I'm not taking 'no' for an answer!"
"Moe, what—"
"Sai proposed, Misa! I'm a-a soon to be bride!"
My eyes widened for a slight second, but then it softened as I watch her ramble on nervously yet with excitement. I wasn't surprised, Sai did tell me he was gonna propose last night and I even did my part by luring them to a perfect venue.
And though Tomoe had red puffy eyes now, I'm pretty sure it was from crying tears of joy last night.
Who wouldn't? When they'll finally be marrying the one they love?
She deserves it. Sai deserves Tomoe and Tomoe deserves Sai. They deserve a happy life, one where they will grow old together.
"R-really?!" I acted to be surprised as I plastered a shocked look then suppressed a smile, muttering, "I'm so happy for the both of you, Moe."
"You have no idea how last night turned out!"
Chuckling, I leaned back on the chair as she continued.
"There were fireworks in the sky! And at first it was so dim in this bridge Sai told me to meet up, then lights started lighting my path and he was there, standing in the center of the bridge!" She had stars in her eyes, trapped in her wonderful daydream as she narrated what happened last night. "He started talking about how we met, Misa...and I was nervous. Nervous! Then, he got down on one knee, just in time fireworks exploded!"
Glad she loved it. I mentally giggled. Sai and mine's hard work paid off seeing Tomoe with the biggest smile on her face. Just the mere thought of the hardships the two have been through that brought them to where they are today warmed my heart...but I can't also deny the slight jealousy I was feeling.
Just then, memories and flashbacks started hitting me like a truck at the moment.
"Few years from now, you're gonna be my wife." Rekai said one time.
"Sakusa Misaki doesn't sounds bad." Kiyoomi's deep voice spoke. "It suits you instead."
"Let's get married." Smoke escaped his mouth as he watched it blend into thin air, turning to me with disinterested eyes—
