THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEWSo she's Atsumu's friend, the one who yelled and cursed through my phone the other day.
Once again, Sakusa fought the urge to embrace Misaki in his arms one more time. After five, almost six, years with no sign of her everywhere he searched, he still can't believe that she now stood in front him...introduced as Atsumu's friend.
How he badly wanted to narrate his whole life to her ever since he lost her, but he can't, not in front of his teammates. The pride, the reputation, and the kind of person his teammates perceived him to be; he can't let them know how vulnerable he can become around Misaki, especially now that she's back.
"Uhh...he's just analyzing people by staring at them," Atsumu leaned closer to the brunette and whispered. "So, umm, don't mind that."
"I...see." Misaki's voice almost broke, but she kept her composure and faked a cough, bowing in front of Sakusa who was taken by surprise at the sudden gesture.
"Then, nice to meet you, Sakusa-san."
He hated how she called him by his last name.
He hated how she acted as if they never knew each other.
He hated himself for breaking up with her only to want her back.
Sakusa was snapped out of his thoughts when the car honked loudly, only then to realize that everyone has already settled inside the vehicle whilst he was left outside staring off into space.
"Omi-san! What are you waiting for?" Hinata said from the window.
"OmiOmi-kun hurry up! We're hungry!" Bokuto followed.
Grunting in frustration, he walked to his side of the car and got in.
The germaphobe like the usual, was silent the whole ride as he only tried shutting everyone's voices out, but the sight of seeing the brown-haired woman and the blond setter laughing to whatever words they were saying made him let out a silent scowl every minute.
His eyes closely studied Atsumu's actions detail by detail, from seeing his free hand brought up to ruffle Misaki's asymmetrical short hair to playfully booping her nose with his finger while he blushed at his own actions—
How does he have no shame in doing that? Sakusa growled.
—the black-haired wing spiker fought the urge to step in once again.
"Miya eyes on the road!" Sakusa snarled with annoyance laced in his voice.
"Right, jeez Omi-kun." Atsumu huffed and retracted his hand back, putting his other hand back on the wheel. "You're extra moody today."
The ace only rolled his eyes without saying anything in response as he continued staring out the window.
"So, Micchi," Atsumu started again, "why'd call for me to get 'ya when I know you have other friends willing to fetch you?"
Misaki shrugged. "I was supposed to call Tobio but I remembered he's still at Europe until next week. Suga-san's busy being a teacher and all, Daichi-san too with all the police work, and Asahi-san's occupied since he's moving in Tokyo permanently. And Noya-san's traveling around the world—"
