"Elijah really did rape Maeve..."

Sakusa's eyes widened in utter perplexity. He was confused and skeptical, but he knew this wasn't something to joke about. And while he stood frozen in shock, Misaki cringed at the expression Sakusa unnoticeably made.

Like his usual self around people, his eyes screamed disgust; atleast that's what the brunette woman thought. Now she regretted it. Letting one sentence that reminisced her past slip out of her mouth. But that was not all, there were more events following after that night she lost her chastity against her will.

"I just didn't write it and changed the events because...I just don't want to." Misaki sighed heavily before taking out another cigarette. Then she tilted her head sideways and gave Sakusa a glance before casually speaking, "Worst feeling if you ask me."

"Yua-san I—"

"When the neighbors arrived, it was too late. But they were able to call the police and helped her afterwards. Let's say that bastard is in prison after evidence was shown through the CCTV and will serve a sentence of seven years.

"After that...she doesn't really know what to do anymore. She stayed in her apartment the next two weeks and refused to go to school. Smoking and drinking were her only coping mechanisms I guess?" She shrugged as if everything she said were small things that never mattered. "Here's the big spoiler of what actually happened in Maeve's life..."

This time she slurred. The alcohol had finally kicked into her senses.

"Promise me you won't tell anyone."

Sakusa stayed silent while he eyed the tipsy woman.

"Not even Tomoe or Motoya. Promise me!"

"I promise." Sakusa instantly replied in a stern voice.

"It was a month after it happened." Inhaling deeply, Misaki looked forward again and separated the cigarette from her mouth.

"The next thing Maeve knew, she was pregnant."

"W-what?" Sakusa's eyes grew wider than before. His body stopped functioning for a second as he process the words over and over in his mind.

He was speechless and certainly shocked. He didn't know what words to say or even what to react. All he knew is that this woman beside him has suffered more than he thought.

Then, where's the child? He thought, frowning.

"She decided to keep the child and raise it alone, so she stopped smoking and drinking, but don't you think it was too late?"

"Yua-san you don't have to continue—"

Sakusa stopped when he realized that Misaki already had tears streaming down her face while she blankly stared down. She continued narrating, and even thought it brought back awful memories, she wasn't sober enough to stop herself from spilling the secret only she knows.
