YUA MISAKIIt has been 24 hours since I was discharged from the hospital. 24 hours after being discharge meant I have to see my therapist as soon as I can. Tomoe's voice spoke non-stop from the other line with my phone just beside the manuscript I was currently working on.
"Do you understand?" She repeated (from what I heard).
But I was too lost in my work to even notice.
Yet my mind was blank, I literally had no idea what to write. As of now, I was just scrabbling words and random phrases in hopes of some sensible idea to pop up—
"Misaki!"
"I'm here," I snapped out of my trance, turning to my phone screen. "What did I miss?"
"I said someone will pick you up to see the therapist. I wish it'd be me but I have an emergency at work I hope that's alright with you."
"Mhmm, okay."
"You should get ready now."
"But I still have six hours left—"
All of a sudden, a knock came from the door just in time Tomoe dropped the call. With confusion, I slowly walked to the entrance while the knocking continued.
Is that someone here to pick me up already?
Twisting the door knob, I opened the door and my face was met with a grinning, platinum blonde man.
"Hayouuuu Micchi!" Atsumu joyfully greeted before laying a small bouquet of roses in my hand abruptly. "Yer finally out! Wohooo~"
ba-dump!
It was as if I felt my heart was close to leaping out of my chest along with my stomach churning weirdly. Am I sick again?
"Uhh, goodmorning Atsumu!" I greeted back, chuckling nervously.
Is he the one Tomoe was talking about?
"How are 'ya feelin'?" He asked, leaning on the door frame.
"I've been fine I guess? Why don't you come inside—"
"Ah no, no, it's fine! I actually just dropped by before headin' to 'Samu. We're going back to Hyogo for three days while we're on our day offs."
So he's not here to pick me up, plus he doesn't even know the real reason why I was taken to the hospital.
"I see. Have you eaten breakfast already?"
"'Samu and I are planning on brunch at his shop since it's almost noon. Wanna come?"
"A-ah no need!" I declined, waving my hand. "I have somewhere to be actually."
"Heh? Where to?"
"Just a check up."
He nodded as he puckered his lips and whistled, running a hand through his golden locks. "Okay." He said. "Stay safe! I'll see 'ya soon~"
"Ha-ha. Alright, safe trip, you two." I waved the setter 'goodbye' but not without releasing a small laugh as he playfully winked along with a flying a kiss.
Once the elevator door closed shut, I went back inside the apartment and walked to the kitchen. I took out a vase and filled up with water before placing the fresh roses in it.
I sat back in the couch and placed the vase of roses ontop of the table before I grabbed my laptop and turned it on.
Since there was still a few hours left before the appointment with my therapist, as suggested by the doctor after what I've done (believe me, I'm mentally stable and I don't need some psychic doctor to help me), I decided to browse my social media.
There were flooded notifications after days of not checking it. Some were fans of my books while other asked about new projects. I was planning on one, but I still needed inspiration which is one of the reasons why I came back to Japan. But it has already been a month and a half since I—
knock knock
"Coming~" I sang and skipped to the door.
When I opened it wide, I was met with black cloth along with a grey coat. I looked up and his dark-green orbs met mines.
"Sakusa-san, ohayou!" I greeted and waved despite how confused I an right now. "So erm...what are you doing here?"
He knitted his eyebrows and tilted his head. "Didn't Tomoe tell you?"
"Eh?" I pondered for a minute as if my mind was like internet explorer itself, until I realized. "Eeeeehhhh?"
"Why?"
"A-ah nothing~!" That Tomoe. I could imagine her snickering devilishly. But being with Sakusa isn't that bad, it's not like it could get any awkward.
But why would he want to escort me to the therapist when there can potentially be alot of people there? He could just relax in his home since it's his day off instead of this, though I think Tomoe forced him since only him and Komori knew about what really happened.
I shrugged it off and invited him inside as he settled in the couch. The moment he did, Cinnamon's barks suddenly became audible and there her small paws came running towards Sakusa. I was about to stop her, knowing how uncomfortable Sakusa can get, but it was all too shocking when he lets my Pomeranian puppy sit on his lap as he stroked her fur without gloves.
The sight was too beautiful and soft for me to look away too soon, until Sakusa's voice brought me back to reality.
"Aren't you gonna get ready yet?" He asked.
"But don't you think you came too early? Not that I mind but the appointment is still at 4:00."
"Ha?" Sakusa raised a brow. "Didn't Tomoe tell you that I'm taking you out for lunch?"
