YUA MISAKI
I groggily fluttered my eyes open, the sun's rays hitting the comforters from the clear windows as it greeted me warmly. A light headache hits me, making me groan tiredly as I leaned on the headboard.
"I don't wanna leave my bed..."
I weakly craned my head to the nightstand, seeing a small note, a glass of water, and a pill on top. With curiosity and slight confusion, I opened it as it read:
Incase a headache occurs. You better leave bed and eat breakfast.
"From...no signature?" I raised a brow and sighed, taking the pill as I chugged it down my throat.
Memories of last night were fuzzy. All I remembered was my blurry vision caused by tears; smoke coming out of the third cigarette I smoked last night, broken glass shards, the way I stare straight at my reflection with my hands trembling as I held something...until...
"Sakusa...came here..." I mumbled, eyes widening in realization. "...or was it Atsumu? No...it mustn't be the both of them, they had a game yesterday..."
"Gaaaah!" I groaned as I ruffled my hair out of frustration. "Could that person still be here though?"
I hesitated as I, without any motivation, rolled out of bed and slid my cotton white slippers on before staggering my way out of the bedroom.
In Cinnamon's usual corner in the living room was her eating its favorite dog food which has obviously been refilled along with newly replaced clean water. My presence made it look up from the bowl as it excitedly waggles its tails, the next second it carried its small legs towards the kitchen in which I curiously followed. Soon enough, the smell of pancakes reached my nose.
A wavy-haired man stood in front the stove, his well-trained back muscles seeping through the grey shirt in front of my eyes. He had one hand on his nape while the other expertly flicked the pan that caused the pancake to flip smoothly.
"Sakusa?"
He turned his head to the side and side-eyed at me. "You're awake." He bluntly stated, turning back to what he was cooking. "Does your head hurt?"
"Not really, thanks for the pill." I rubbed my temples as I sat down. "How much did I drink even?"
"I don't know. You broke the bottle."
"Right. You shouldn't have gone through all this trouble, you know. Since you just had a game even."
"If I wouldn't have came here then you would've—" he paused, making me cock my eyebrow as he continued, mumbling, "nevermind."
"Did you get any sleep last night?"
"Yeah, I slept at the couch."
No, you didn't. I frowned, biting my lip. You held my hand the whole night. I'm sure of it.
I took a look around my surroundings; every corner was squeaky clean, every object was organized in its place, even Cinnamon's corner.
"Did you do this?" I asked, unsure.
"Yeah. It was garbage dump."
"It was decent."
Sakusa sighed, shaking his head. "Shower after you eat then we'll make a quick stop at my apartment before we head out."
