TW: suicide⚠️

THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW

"Calm down, okay? She'll be fine. I know she will—"

"HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CALM DOWN WHEN MY BESTFRIEND ATTEMPTED TO KILL HERSELF!" Tomoe lashed out with tears in her eyes, not minding the stares she received from the nurses and people near them.

"W-why did she do it? Is s-s-she going through something? Is she hiding s-something? But... she can just talk it out with me...r-r-right?" The auburn-haired woman continued on rambling shakingly.

Sai nodded, pulling his wife in a hug and softly rubbed her back in an attempt to calm her down, but it was no use. He too felt the same as her; Misaki is also one of his closest friends and one of the few that's been with him since highschool, the thought of losing her all of a sudden almost made him tear up, but he knew that he had to stay strong for Tomoe.

All he could do was whisper reassuring words in her ear and silently pray that the brown-haired woman will make it.

After a few minutes, Tomoe had slightly calmed down. She pushed herself from Sai's chest and wiped the tears that stained her cheeks. When she checked her phone, the time was already 2:06 AM, an hour has passed since she found Misaki laying almost lifeless in the kitchen of her apartment.

"I'll head outside for some fresh air," Tomoe muttered, "can you just call me if Misaki's out of ER?"

"Sure, baby." Sai gave her a reassuring smile as Tomoe walked her way outside the building.

She hugged her jacket tight the moment she stepped out. The cool dawn breeze greeted her face, making contact with her skin as she sat in the shed just in front of the parking lot.

Fear, panic, and worry filled her body as she rubbed her hands repeatedly out of anxiety. She still remember how Misaki's body temperature was fuming. Her skin was almost white pale and her pulses were even barely noticeable.

Tomoe was in deep thought until a black BMW X5 just pulled up in one of the empty spaces of the parking lot. From the driver's seat, the door opened, revealing Sakusa in thick longsleeves that covered his entire, if not more, arms and some black sweatpants along with his signature surgical mask and black gloves.

The ace spotted Tomoe sitting alone, she did too see him walking towards her. She tried forming sentences in her mind, but she didn't know how'd she be able to tell him that his ex-girlfriend, one that he still loves, almost took her own life.

Sakusa stopped in front of her, panic and worry were also evident in his eyes yet he managed to keep it usually calm.

"Where is she?" He asked.

"In...the emergency room. You can't see her yet."

"What happened?"

"Failed suicide, Sakusa-kun. Drug overdose." Tomoe mumbled hesitantly. "She was trying to kill herself."

Failed...suicide?

Trying...to...kill...herself?

Sakusa's heart thumped loudly against his chest. His eyes widened at what Tomoe said and his gloved hands were shaking tremendously inside his pocket.

Saki would never do that.

She's capable of many things but to take her own life...

"You must've gotten it wrong." Sakusa spoke, trying to sound calm as he for once tried looking on the bright side. "She'd never do that."

"You think I don't recognize my own bestfriend, huh Sakusa?!"
