YUA MISAKIThe sun peeked through the small gap left by the curtains and slowly tickled my arm. I slowly opened my eyes to see how it greeted me with a warm smile. I smiled back at the sun, suddenly feeling a little different in me than I normally wake up to a neutral mood.
Someone's calm breathing heaved behind my back. Their cool breath touched my skin to send shivers down my spine. A weight was wrapped around my stomach. I looked down and saw an arm, loosely yet protectively hugging my frame.
That's right. Realization struck me. It all came flooding back.
I rolled over to the opposite side to be met with a sight of a man that I used to wake up to years ago.
He breathed softly through his slightly parted lips. His eyes closely relaxed along with his eyebrows than they're usually furrowed. I brought my hand to cup his jaw; a smile gracing upon my face as I held his flawless, soft skin.
"Who would've thought I'd wake up to this again?" I whispered, chuckling as I did.
Then he started moving; his brows furrowing in confusion before slowly squinting his eyes open.
"Good morning, Yoomi."
His eyes widened in shock.
"Why the reaction?" I tilted my head.
Then his eyes relaxed softly as he brought his large palm up to cup my face. And without a word, he gently rubbed circles on my cheek with his thumb as he pressed his lips into a thin line.
"What?" I chuckled.
"Stop staring." His voice was raspy and hoarse; sexy as hell. "It's rude."
Then he pressed me closer towards his chest, his arm wrapped more securely around my torso as if he didn't want to let go.
I breathed in his natural minty scent, a smile gracing upon my face as his calm touch softy rubbed my back; a wave of reassurance washed over me while I steadily breathed out as we stayed in the position for a few more minutes.
We inhaled and exhaled in sync, letting the sun's rays tickle our skin through the small gap of the curtains and it was as if a weight was lifted off my chest; after years of carrying the unknown heavy feeling pushing me down, I finally found even the slightest bit of peace and lightness.
"Last night happened."
"Hm?" I hummed in response, looking up for his eyes to meet mines.
"Are you for real?" He asked.
"What? That I still love you? I wouldn't be in your arms right now, now would I?"
Sakusa hummed in response as I felt the warmth of his face nuzzled closely to the back of my neck. "Are you busy—"
Before he can finish, all of a sudden the doorbell rang from the living room, making the man behind me grown in annoyance. But he didn't budge, instead his grip on me securely tightened before letting out a slow exhale.
"You're not gonna get that?" I asked.
He shook his head.
"What if it's something important?"
He didn't respond, until a minute later he lets out a tired sigh as he unwrapped his arms from my waist, leaving the bed the next second and left the room through the door mumbling incoherent words before disappearing into the living room.
I let out a sigh, laying fully on my back as I stared at the ceiling deep in thought. My mind was occupied since last night. Full of thoughts — doubts, dilemmas, and just thinking of future decisions that will affect the situation I'm in right now...with Sakusa.
Shaking my head, I groggily got up from bed, and did my morning routine. After taking a warm shower, I changed into comfortable clothes—which was Kiyoomi's oversized shirt and large boxers that I tied with my hair tie to fit my waist. His clothes have always smelled so good. I took a moment to take in the familiar scent of his favorite liquid laundry soap as it brought back the good ol' highschool days. I giddily smiled and walked out of the bedroom.
Two familiar voices were conversing, obviously Yoomi's, the other sounded lively, more happy, more...Motoya. I stepped in frame and Motoya paused, noticing my presence. He looked at me, a big smile spreading across his face.
"Misa-chan..." Komori muttered under his breath, and then diverted his attention to the other man in the room, "...and Kiyoomi"
I rolled my eyes as I walked towards Kiyoomi to sit beside him, when he abruptly pulled me down to sit on his lap. A squeak left my mouth as he buried his face on the crook of my neck. Komori sat wide -eyed, surprised, his jaw fell to the floor. I blushed tomato red as I snaked my arms around Kiyoomi's shoulder, letting out an awkward laugh.
"It's happening..." The libero murmured. "Wha-- When-- H-How--...Woah..."
"I know, Motoya" Kiyoomi muffled, probably continuing the conversation. "Tell mom we'll arrive at 7."
Motoya raised a brow. "'We'?"
Kiyoomi lifted his head from my shoulders, and he faced Motoya with a stern look. "I'm bringing Saki to the family dinner tonight, as my girlfriend."
