THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW

She felt stupid and miserable. He hit her, manipulated her, and cheated on her when all she did was gave him all the love she thinks he deserved.
As Maeve finally reaches her apartment door, she turns around and gave Killian a small smile beneath the surgical mask she wore to cover up the bruise Rafal made by hitting her.
There was silence and neither of them even said their parting words. The look in Killian's hazel-brown eyes read suspicion — he is like an attentive reader that quietly observes and reads every person like an open book. He is no different to the girl he likes who stood in front of her.
Maeve is on the verge of crying and her eyes are shouting pain; he can even say that she's smiling under the mask to make her eyes close slightly.
'What happened?' He thought to himself and took a step closer.
Maeve stepped back, not wanting him—

"Omi-saaaan!"

Growling in annoyance, Sakusa shut the book and looked up to see Bokuto and Hinta smiling widely at him.

"You're so invested in that book Omi-omi." Bokuto sang and took a peek, only for Sakusa to quickly hide the book inside his bag.

"What do you want?" He grumbled impatiently.

"Hehe."

"Hehe."

The two continued chuckling nervously, before quieting down.

"Can you drive us—"

"No." Sakusa immediately replied and proceeded to packing his things.

"But we don't have our cars." Bokuto whined.

"Use Miya's."

"Atsumu-san left already." The orange-haired male pouted. "Said he's hanging out with Misa-san today."

Again? Sakusa's face scrunched at the thought as he slung the bag over his shoulder. That's the third time this week.

"Maybe he just want to spend as much time with Misa-chan since we'll be back to serious training next week?" Bokuto shrugged.

With Tomoe away for their honeymoon with Sai (but will soon be returning back), and with their break from practices, Atsumu has been using this chance as an advantage to spend his time on dates with Misaki, hopefully to finally get her to like him back.

Sakusa would've done the same too, with Daina away for a photoshoot for two weeks and him being free until next week, he too would've spent his time with her, if it wasn't for Atsumu who always got to her first.

He decided to spend his whole free time reading the books and trying to understand her through the words she wrote.

The first book, in which he only managed to finish in three days for non-bookworms like him, was enough for Sakusa to conclude that the whole series is possibly inspired by Misaki's past relationships.

Book one talked about Rafal, Maeve's first love and boyfriend of five years. He was soon revealed as a cheater that slept with multiple women when his girlfriend couldn't satisfy his desires.

Book two; Sakusa was very aware of what it talked about. Killian, an aloof and anti-social person that has learned to develop feelings for the sunshine-like girl.
