YUA MISAKIFeeling a slight tap on my shoulder, I looked up from my phone and found Tomoe gesturing towards a certain woman standing beside the table we sat on.
"Misa I want you to meet my friend in college." My bestfriend beamed with a big smile. "Nanami Daina, my best friend, Yua Misaki. Misa, meet Daina!"
I turned to light-brown haired woman who radiated a positive energy and a friendly vibe. She smiled at me widely, energetically waving her hand as she extended it towards me.
"Nice to meet you Yua-san!" She said.
I took her hand, shaking it and smiled back. "You too, Nanami-san!"
"Oh by the way, are you here alone?" Asked Tomoe.
Daina shook her head and gestured to a man with a familiar mop of wavy black hair standing beside her who was looking at a different direction, not even bothering to acknowledge our presence.
How rude.
"Oh, I'd like you to meet Kiyoomi-kun!"
K-Kiyoomi?!
Daina whispered to him, making the masked man hesitantly turn his attention to us three sitting in the table.
Speak of the devil.
It was Sakusa...and he's with a girl.
Who does he think he is calling me at 1:00 AM in the morning just to show up the next day with a different girl?!
I-I-I mean, it's not like I c-care or anything! Of course I d-don't!
What is he doing here even? Is Nanami-san his new girlfriend? I looked down, not failing to notice the slight pang of pain hitting the left part of my chest.
"S-Sakusa-kun?" Tomoe stammered as Tsukami also looked at him, wide eyed.
The wavy-haired man didn't respond, but he just nodded.
"Sakusa, it's been so long since what? Highschool graduation?" Tsukami said.
"Oh, you already know each other?" Daina asked. "By the way, do you mind if we sit here with you?"
The three of us shook our heads 'no' as I voluntarily offered my seat to the two and transferred to the only chair by the end of the small, rectangular table.
Tomoe shot me a concerned look as she watched me sit on the chair, but I only raised her a brow, shrugging my shoulders as if asking her what was wrong. It was obvious what she meant, but I only shrugged it off, afterall, Sakusa's life is none of my business anymore — since five years ago to be exact and I have made it clear that I've moved on.
"We were a group of friends back in highschool at Itachiyama." Tomoe answered.
"You too Yua-san? And I'm guessing Komori-kun too?"
I nodded in reply before the waiter arrived at our table to write down our orders.
We spent an hour inside the restaurant with only Tomoe, Tsukami, and Daina talked all throughout as they caught up with what they missed after college. I was silent the whole time and the usual, Sakusa too who only stared off into space most of the times, but often I would catch him stealing glances until we stared at each other for a few seconds then would eventually look away again.
This small gesture disturbed me for some unknown reason. The fact that his eyes looked at me with the same gaze back when we were still together and in love bothered my mind this past hour.
