TW: suicide

THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW

Back hunched forward and hands stuffed deeper inside the pockets of his jacket every minute, Sakusa walked through the hallways of the hospital building with an intimidating aura hopefully to scare away anyone who dared stepped within 10 meters close to him.

He always hated the smell of strong scented alcohol and medicines or such since it reminded him of hospitals. He was now walking through one again, in broad daylight where it's more crowded than when he last came and walking through one was like walking through hell itself; it was torture for a germaphobe like him to be entering a building filled with kinds of sicknesses and diseases. But the urge to see her was stronger than his fear of germs at the moment.

He stood in front of the door, leaning close but making sure not to touch it and heard no voices coming from the inside. He concluded that she was alone and it's what he wanted.

Hesitantly, Sakusa brought his gloved hand up, landing three knocks and waited for a reply. There was none, so he only thought of the possibility that she's already asleep. He slowly twisted the doorknob, cringing at the contact of the cold metal and his clothed hand and slowly pushed the door opened as he peeked inside.

"Tomoe, you said you'd take long—"

Hazel colored eyes met dark green-ones.

Sakusa stepped inside, softly closing the door shut as he stood idly in his spot, not breaking eye contact.

"S-Sakusa?"

Within her eyes he found pain, sadness, and...guilt? He thought again and decided that he must've saw it wrongly, but there was no doubt as he stared longer.

Absent-mindedly, he felt his hands forming into fists. He looked down, ashamed to look at her directly as he gritted his teeth in frustration. Anger and confusion welled up in him. That's when he couldn't hold his emotions any longer.

"WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING—" He bursted out all of a sudden, but paused when he saw Misaki flinched.

The brunette had her arms raised above her head defensively, causing the book in her hands to drop on the lap as she looked down while repeatedly mumbling words.

"P-please don't hit me..."

Hit you? Sakusa scrunched his eyebrows in confusion, that's when he realized that he had his hands raised in the air, but of course never intending to hit her.

"I..." The black-haired man lowered his hands slowly before his angered expression contorted into a more concerned one. "Yua...I-I...was not gonna hit you..."

The brunette didn't buy it, she was still trembling in her spot as she squeezed her eyes shut while waiting for an impact to meet her body.

Sakusa could only stare wide-eyed. Did she really think I was gonna hit her? He watched her mutter inaudible words underneath her breath until he realized what's he's done. He was panicking and he didn't have any idea what to do. But he made careful steps, approaching her slowly until his hands hesitantly grabbed her wrists.

"Sorry," he muttered lowly and carefully pulled her arms away from her face, "I didn't mean to yell."

Her face was now clear in his sight, yet she still had her eyes shut and fortunately she wasn't crying, if so, Sakusa wouldn't know how to handle it.

"Yua-san I was not—"

"I-It's fine." Misaki finally spoke up, releasing herself from his grip. "I was just overreacting. Just...forget that— no, no. I mean...really, it's fine!"
