THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW

Once Sakusa has reached the parking lot just beneath the apartment complex, he hurriedly jogged inside the elevator and took himself to the fifth floor.

Right when the elevator doors opened, he spotted a familiar brown-haired woman seated just right outside the door with her head buried in her knees. Sakusa approached Misaki's curled up figure and crouched in front of her, shaking her gently that took him five minutes or so to make her lift her head up.

"Hey, get up. The floor's filthy." He whispered stoically while he absent-mindedly held her hand to help her. "Did you wait long?"

Misaki shrugged, rubbing her eyes tiredly. "Arrived two minutes ago? I don't know. So, what do you want to talk about?" She asked as they both stepped inside the apartment after Sakusa had to spray her with disinfectant.

"Are you..." Sakusa studied her weary eyes and worn-out figure, "...drunk?"

"Just drank a few...? I don't know. I came from a party but that's irrelevant. I'm kinda sober so can we hurry?"

"Who was with you in the party?" For all Sakusa knew, Tomoe and Sai were too busy to attend a party, Atsumu was in Hyogo, and Komori was with him in his parent's house. It must be her friends from Karasuno? He reassured himself with that thought.

"Ryuu...uhh Kiyoko-san...Suga..." shrugged the brunette.

"How did you get here? Did you take an uber?"

"Suga-san drove me here. He'll also pick me up in an hour so you better hurry with what you want to talk about."

"Right."

The two stood in the balcony, leaning over the railings with a six feet distance separating them. Sakusa watched as Misaki lights a cigarette in between her fingers before fiddling with the lighter in her free hand. Bringing the cigarette up to her lips, she lets out a puff of smoke and watched it dissipate in front of her while she waited for Sakusa to speak.

But the germaphobe was too occupied worrying about her health that he just wanted to snatch the awful object in her hand, yet he's not someone who can't make decisions for her, so he painfully watch her destroy her own lungs while he did nothing at most.

Misaki can't stop side-eyeing the black-haired man while she nervously waited for him to speak. What could he want to talk about? Is it about the news headline rumor about me and him dating? Or does he just need someone to talk to? Countless questions filled her mind due to her anxious and drunken state.

"Maeve, was it?" Sakusa finally started speaking. Misaki turned to him with half lidded eyes. "The name of your book's main character."

Misaki's eyes widen in surprise, almost dropping the cigarette stick in her finger but she soon managed to keep calm and casually replied, "Yeah. You read it?"

"All three."

"Was it nice?"

"They were good." Sakusa truthfully answered. "Want me to tell you what I've understood?"

Knowing Sakusa's overwhelming observation skills and careful analytical thinking, Misaki immediately knew what the wing spiker was up to. She nodded, hesitantly, but still listened nonetheless.
