SAKUSA KIYOOMI

"Just one more stop." I mumbled to myself as I looked behind me in the backseats of my car where a bunch of paper bags sat.

And luckily Daina wanted to me to drop her off at her mansion earlier than usual due to an urgent meeting with her agent, which resulted into us not having dinner together like what she planned, like always.

I placed the paper bag I held in hand along with the others, and as soon as I sat comfortably in the driver's seat the sweet scent of freshly baked cinnamons circulated around the closed vehicle. Then I started driving away from the shop, making my way towards my next and final destination before going to her apartment.

8:00 PM, just in time.

I stepped inside the empty store, its bell dinging back and forth as I pushed the door open. Its bright lights greeted me, soon enough a middle aged woman and a younger one stood behind the counter and saw me walking up to them.

They smiled, I nodded curtly. The younger woman bowed respectfully before entering a room, leaving me and the older lady alone.

"Here to pick it up?" She asked, her eye wrinkles stretching as she smiled.

"Is it finished?" I asked flatly as I surveyed the shop full of outfits and dresses of glimmering whites and silvers.

"As promised."

I nodded, hands in pockets.

"One, fancy dress for just one fancy date night?" She chuckled. "She must be that special, Kiyoomi."

"Really is." I sternly replied.

"Taiyo use to come to me back when he was dating your mom back in highschool...asked me to help him pick a dress for her, ain't that cute? Asking his older sister for help...then you doing the same? Except that, you came to me instead of Koemi, why's that?"

"She'd never understand."

"Ah, I see. She probably looks good in violet which is why you chose that color?"

I nodded. "It's her favorite color."

We waited for another minute, until the worker lady came back with a plain white, yet luxurious looking paper bag in hand. In the center of the bag was the name of the shop itself's well-known clothing brand all over Japan.

I carefully took it with my gloved hand, thanking the lady as I turned back to my aunt. She held an ear to ear grin, her wrinkled hand giving me a reassuring pat on my shoulder.

"You've grown into a fine man, Kiyoomi." She winked. "Introduce her to me soon?"

I took in a sharp breathe, letting out a silent huff as I nodded. What could go wrong? Everything is already planned, all that's left is for her to say 'yes' to tomorrow's date...and to, well, say another 'yes'.

After thanking my aunt, I hurriedly rushed back inside my car and took a quick check behind me to make sure everything's complete; snacks and drinks for tonight's unplanned visit where I plan to just spend the whole evening listening to her rants and ideas of a book or maybe a simple movie night; and a pair of designer flats which she very much preferred over heels and a dress of her favorite color for tomorrow's dinner. I then turned to the passenger's seat, seeing the bouquet of those pink flowers that she loved so much.

Everything's as is—

"Shit, where's is it...!?" I can't lose it. That shit costs almost a million yen.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck—"

I sighed, relieved, to see the small bag buried underneath the others. Everything's now complete, all I need is to go to her and ask her out for tomorrow.

It was a 15-minute ride until I reached her apartment complex.

I gathered everything in both hands, the food, shoes, and dress, leaving the accessory inside the car as I grabbed the bouquet in my arm. I walked towards her apartment door with my usual calm demeanor as I faced the ground.

Just make her accept these gifts and ask her out for tomorrow.

I mentally reminded myself, until I was just a few inches away from the doorstep when I heard voices coming from the inside. Sounded like voices of women, specifically must be Tomoe and her...but I thought she was free right now? Tomoe must've came on short notice.

It was all muffled, yet I was able to make out a few words.

Then I found myself stepping a little closer to the door, listening all the way.

"...what do you mean you're confused?" A voice asked.

Why am I eavesdropping? I mentally growled to myself, but I didn't budge.

"...kind, funny...he has a way with words, Moe."

This is Saki's voice...but who is she talking about...?

"...he's really attractive when he smiles at me. Not that playboy smirk, you know?"

This isn't any of my business...

Who is she talking about?

"And these past few months, he's treated me as if I'm someone that special when I really think I don't deserve to be treated that way..."

What are you saying, Misaki?

I should leave.

"For someone I've only known for a short while, he treated me like an antique object, fragile yet rare. Get what I mean? God, this sounds cheesy."

I should leave.

I...I should leave.

I swallowed a lump in my throat as my hands started shaking anxiously.

I was not supposed to hear their conversation.

"Tomoe, I..."

"I-I like him, Moe. I don't want to admit it but..."

"I like Atsumu..."
