"Hey, um. Guys?"

Julie looks up from her spot on the couch and smiles. "What's up, Alex?"

Luke looks up from his notebook, a slightly annoyed expression on his face. 

"So um, I wrote a song... for Willie. And uh, could you guys maybe help me perform it?"

Reggie grins. "Oooh, are you finally gonna tell him how you feel?"

Alex shyly scratches the back of his neck. "Yeah, that was the plan."

Luke's smile says it all. "Alright, let's do it!"

Alex hands Luke the folded paper, and Luke scans it eagerly. 

"Dude, this is awesome! Willie's gonna love it."

"You think so?"

"What am I going to love?" Willie strides into the studio, skateboard tucked under his arm. 

"Alex," Reggie says at the exact same time Alex says, "Nothing!"

Willie smirks. "Which one is it, exactly?"

"It's a surprise!" Alex says hastily, gently pushing Willie out of the studio. 

"A surprise, huh? This better be a really good surprise, hotdog."

Alex swallows nervously. "Yeah, I hope so too. Okay, umm, just, come back here at 4:00 this afternoon. The surprise should hopefully be ready by then."

"Alright. See you then."

Alex nods, and Willie poofs away. Sighing, Alex jogs back into the studio. 

"So, we have a couple hours to practice the song."

A knock sounds on the studio doors. 

"Hey, hotdog? Is the surprise ready?" Willie's voice is muffled by the studio doors. 

"Yep, it's ready!"

Julie quickly walks over to Alex and gives him a comforting hug. "You can do this, Alex."

Alex nods and returns the hug. "Yeah, thanks Jules."

"So, what's the surprise?" Willie asks, sitting down on the couch. 

"Ok, um, so, I wrote this song-uh. I wrote this song for you, and uh, yeah. I'll shut up now." Alex nodded at his bandmates, and Luke started gently strumming his guitar. 

(a/n: i just want to clarify that alex is singing this, just to be clear)

Alex sings the last line softly, and looks up at Willie. Luke and Reggie share a glance before poofing out, Julie following them out. 

Willie stands up and walks over to Alex, a soft smile on his face.

"So, um. In case that wasn't obvious-"

"Alex-"

Alex holds up a hand. "Willie, I have this whole speech prepared."

Willie nods and gently takes Alex's hands. 

"Okay. So, um, in case it wasn't obvious, I really like you, Willie. Ever since you ran me over with your skateboard, and did that stupid hair flip." Both boys chuckle at this, and Alex takes a deep breath. "So, yeah. And I know, you probably don't like me back, but I just wanted to get it off my chest."

"Alex. Where did you get the idea that I didn't like you back?"

"Oh, yknow, just my anxiety," Alex jokes. 

"Well, I really like you too. Just in case that wasn't obvious."

Alex nods and looks down. "So um, now what happens?"

Willie just wraps Alex in a tight hug. 

And with that hug, Alex knows that this is where he belongs.
