His question was thrown at me like an aimless sports ball that I had no idea would strike.

My posture stiffened, a shaky voice overcoming me as I had no absolute clue on to how to answer the wondering boy's question.

He was right though; what did this mean, what were we now?

After everything that's happened, after everything I've told him, what was to come for the both of us now?

I sat there dazed, fumbling with the roots of my shirt because I could not approach an answer for Felix. I just didn't know what to say. I mean I only just apologized to him.

Before anything could be spouted from either one of our mouths, the door handle turned, a salient noise causing both of our heads to twist in that direction.

It unlocked and  a cautious looking, brown haired boy entered with half his body. His hand clasped onto the door handle that had a key stuck inside it's keyhole, while the boy's eyes traveled around the small room.

He had such a mature look on, or maybe that was his natural physical attribute. Whatever it was, his appearance was charming. His short and soft bangs were just above his eyes, and his muscular figure stood forward.

I then realized who he was.

"Oi Felix! You guys look like you were gonna die here together," he chuckled noticing our position.

That's when it also hit how Felix and I were looking right now, as I was comfortably situated on the ground while he crouched down on his knees in front of me, wrapping my own sweater around my shoulders. Our faces were a safe distance a part, yet not too far apart.

"Chan!" Felix exclaimed, a beaming smile eloping his lips.

Christopher Bangchan, otherwise recognized as Chan, a well studious student in our school who also happened to be popular for his 'charming' personality. I didn't know much about Chan, but I've seen him around and perhaps he's in some of my classes. I didn't care enough to know who shared the same periods as me, but I can tell he's aware of my grim reputation and can sense the aura too.

"Yeah, it was just a bit cold in here and we got locked in," Felix chuckled a bit too nervously.

"Yep we all figured that was the case, so coach sent me to fetch you guys." his accent rich, just like Felix's.

"Come on you two, grab the equipment and let's get out of here."

Right the sport's equipment, the reason why we were here to begin with.

Suddenly a wave of motivation left my soul, no longer in the spirit to participate in the badminton activity.

Still, we grabbed what we needed and walked out the partially dim room. I walked in front of the boys, speeding away as I was deep in thought from Felix's question. Him and Chan seem like they were really good friends from the way they're in such an immersed conversation, and talk so enthusiastically with each other.

"What are we?" I mumbled.

What did I want to be? After literally steaming off at how I didn't and was never his friend, and then apologizing, I don't think we could go back to being strangers. Was my only choice to befriend the boy and continue our trio with Ivy? Did I really want to or did I need to? Or did he just ask that because he wants to stay away from me from now on because all my efforts previously were spent trying to keep him away.

Frustrated, I honestly couldn't tell.

I didn't want to shatter the happiness Ivy feels with a new person joining our friendship, but I wasn't sure if this would be the right step to take for me either.
