"Oh shit, I might just puke," Hyunjin places a hand to his mouth and sets his corn dog down, earning glares and a series of grumbling from the three of us.

I sigh and hand him a bottle of water. "So what made you think eating food worth 3 meals all at once was a dandy plan?"

Hyunjin pouts as Chan rubs his back, slightly disappointed yet amused. "I was just hungry," he says softly.

"Well nice going genius," Chan jokes while cleaning up our scraps with Felix.

"Oh yeah that's real comforting," he rolls his eyes.

Chan suggested Hyunjin walks up and down the boardwalk a few times in order to digest the buffet he had devoured in a matter of minutes. We watched him take heavy steps, burp, and guzzle ginger ale. Then he burps again.

It was truly the highlight of my life.

And I can't really say I'm too surprised knowing Hyunjin is someone who orders everything off the damn menu.

Nonetheless, the three of us stood there waiting for Hyunjin as the sun began to exude its brilliant glow onto my skin. I was desperate to strip from my flannel and walk around in the mere tank top underneath.

Actually, I think I'll do just that.

Felix continued to lick his vanilla ice cream cone, completely unbothered by the fact that we are being cooked underneath the sun.

"You two can go on ahead. I'll stay here with Hyunjin in case he needs anything," Chan comes up from behind and ushers to Felix and I.

"When should we meet back?" I ask, feeling a little pitiful for Chan.

He looks at Felix who's infatuated with his ice cream cone, and then back at me. He smiles warmly, "Don't worry about it, just go have fun."

"But —"

A hand abruptly clings onto mine and I am being tugged away from the other two boys. "You heard the man, let's go have fun," Felix says joyfully.

I look back to Chan who offers me a comforting smile once more. "Come on, we have to go on everything here." The thrill bounces off Felix's tone as he begins skipping deeper into the park with his hand in mine.

I watch as his eyes dart from the ferris wheel to the cotton candy stands to the rollercoasters emitting loud screams. It seems like he can't choose which to approach first, and honestly, neither can I.

"What do you wanna do first Hae?" he asks me with the last bit of the cone in his mouth. I shrug and stare at the remainders of vanilla ice cream all around his mouth and nose. A surge of laughter breaks out of me, earning a questionable look from him.

"What's so funny?" he turns around as if I was laughing at something behind him.

It's funnier because he has no clue.

"Wait," I place my other hand on his shoulder and tip toe. Curse our height difference.

His eyes widen, and as I'm glancing at the vanilla residue left on his face, his stare was burning into my skin, my soul, literally everything. I can feel my pulse through my fingertips at this point.

Inching closer, I suck in a breath. His mouth parts, but I use a tissue I had to wipe the residue off his face.

"You should really clean after yourself," I smile, gazing into his eyes. I watch him shudder for a brief moment, but then his hand latches to my waist and pushes me closer towards him. His other hand holds my hand with the tissue near the edge of his lips.
