look down, i'm right outside your house

I stared blankly at the screen, not moving an inch.
I had two options; I could go down and interrogate Felix, or, I could blatantly ignore the boy and proceed with the drama that awaits me in bed.

My indecisiveness made things so much better.

I wanted to smack myself as I found myself clothing to fit the blistering weather. Shame on me for not choosing the latter.

Before heading out, a pair of crimson mittens lying on the dresser caught my eye. It had been ages and I still couldn't find the brain cells to remember to give Felix his mittens back.

Would it look rude if I head out wearing them? It's like I stole something he gave me, though, he never asked for them back.

Leaving them be, I hastily walked out and witnessed a bright blonde Felix sitting down on the sheeted ground, gently piling snow together with his hands. Although he was still a good distance away, I could see the smile bouncing on his lips as he played with the snow. A chuckle escaped as I observed his childish nature.

Bullets of snow rained on us, hazing the view and quickly covering the streets white.
I don't ever remember playing with snow, other than Ivy constantly assaulting my poor head with balls of it when we'd walk to school together. Back when she was still here.

I did not find the joy in such hideous weather; how could anyone enjoy the mess this savaging season brought? The rummage of hair flying in my face and somehow getting caught in my mouth, the numbness consuming my hands even despite being blanketed in a warm cloth, the hassle of heavy jackets suffocating you until you can hardly breathe, and the icy sheets would somehow make their way inside my shoes. It was terrible to say the least.

"You actually came!" he beamed as I walk towards him.

"Did you really think I would leave you out here?"

"Knowing you, certainly."

Well he wasn't wrong.

"What would you do if I didn't show up," I question as he stands up and dusts the snow off of him.

"I'd throw snowballs at your window!" he rejoiced. The cheer in his tone made the idea seem a lot more terrifying; maybe coming out was the right choice.

"You are the epitome of stalking."

His smile dismantled into a lonely pout, as he dropped the pit of snow that was once in his hands. "Why do you keep calling me that?!" he groaned. "I was following you one time, Hae. Once — and to make sure you were safe at that!"

"Well you're everywhere."

"Therefore you are blessed," he pointed as his eyebrows danced.

"Okay but, where and how did you get my number? How do you know where I live? Why did you bring me down here? What do you want?" I exclaimed in a single breath, which left Felix staring at me wide eyed.

He bent down, grabbing a bunch of snow at once in his blue clothed gloves and proceeded to look back at me.

"Well genius," he began. "I wanted to hang out with you, and the weather makes it even better!"
This weather made everything worse.

"And Ivy gave me your number and address before she left. She knew you would be to hesitant to call or say anything in any case of emergency, so she trusted me with it!" He cheered gleamingly.

Ivy the intellect, always leaving prepared. I wish she had at least informed me that she gave literally all my personal information away. Instead, she left behind the pleasant surprise of Felix at my doorstep.
