"Felix, I'm not going to kiss you!" I exclaimed, trying to rid myself of the freckled boy who followed me from room to room.
"It's Christmas, how could you not?" Felix frantically whined.
He was a maniac. What made him think that I'd oblige to kissing him? It was nonsensical, it was out of the blue!
After circling around the same 3 walls in Chan and Minho's enormous apartment, I stop and turn to a pouting Felix. "Did you ask me to this party just to steal a kiss from me?" I questioned, raising an eyebrow to target his intentions.
He steps back, mouth parted and eyebrows raised as he pushed his hands in front of his chest worriedly, "No, no of course not! It's just that—" he steps towards me and I pace back.
His body inches closer and closer until I look up and see him hovering over me with a hypnotizing smile. "Look up," he says.
I do just that, and to my surprise, there hang a mistletoe above us. Classic.
"To be fair, you can't break traditions, can you?" Felix shrugs and looks away with a sly smirk. I stare back at him, baffled. Truth be told, he got me good.
"And why can't I? It's not like there's some sort of law that restricts me." I stand firm.
"You know the old saying, don't you? Refusing to kiss under the mistletoe gives you bad luck."
That was absurd. Of course I didn't believe in any of that, but what agitated me more was the sole fact that Felix wants to acquire a smooch out of me. He was flirty for sure, but this was a whole new level.
I sigh, and grab his cheeks, turning them to face me. As I look into his broadened eyes, I inspect the surprise as well as thrill flickering in them. "Wait, you don't have to do anything you don't want to-" I cover his mouth shut; here goes nothing I suppose.
I lean in and Felix shuts his eyes, leaning in as well. Now to make my move.
Bringing two fingers to my mouth, I kiss them. Felix obviously heard the noise and hastily opens his eyes, watching as I then poke his forehead back with the fingers I kissed.
"Don't start complaining. I appreciate my virgin lips."
He blinks at me numerously before taking my hand, bringing it close to his face, his lips delicately brushing on them as he plants a soft kiss. "Well of course, Hae."
I retract it and walked away, refusing to look back at him. That felt so intimate. And it terrifies me how intimate he was becoming, jokingly or not. My heart galloped as if it were trying to win victor in a race, and I looked down at the hand Felix kissed. The sensation of his soft lips colliding with my skin lingered on and I hesitated to rub it, afraid that the feeling would dismantle.
