Days went by, and the weather was in a constant off and on cycle of chilly mornings to hot sunny afternoons that just make you crave for a scoop of ice cream rather than a warm caramel latte, as the season would typically suggest.

Felix did not interact with me as much these days compared to how he used to upon the first few days of his arrival.

Perhaps he finally opened his eyes, and found his crowd amongst the large school, leaving my mind at peace knowing I wouldn't have to deal with him as much anymore. Or even at all, just give it a few weeks.

However, him and Ivy got pretty close. He seemed to enjoy spending lunch on the rooftop, since he accompanies Ivy and I everyday.

Although he sits and eats with us, him and Ivy just chatter away as I look into the oblivion with my earbuds plugged in, placing my soul into a reality where it's serene. A place where my thoughts don't collide and go all crazy, and instead my nerves focus on the soothing rhythm of the music.

Occasionally I'd catch Felix glancing over at me here and there, which I don't find too odd looking at how it's just the three of us on the empty space above the building.

As I recalled vague flashbacks from this week while we were walking home, I was shook out of my thoughts when a wild Ivy pat my head roughly.

"Whatcha thinking about dummy? You've been too quiet recently, so open your loud mouth," she laughed.

"Oh I'm the loud mouth? I don't recall being the one who calls me at 2 AM to rant about some crazy dream she had about Jungkook," I retorted, laughing at the memory.

"In my defense, he was upset at me because I forgot to bring my own money on our date. How are we gonna get married now?" She pouted, thinking back to that silly imagination of hers that seems to grow each day. I couldn't help, but appreciate Ivy's passionate nature, no matter what the subject revolves around.

"You'll get married to him, in your dreams. Literally." I burst out laughing, missing this feeling of teasing Ivy and her nonsensical imagination.

"If Felix wasn't here, I'd kill you right now," she glared me down with those puppy like eyes as if she'd have the courage to attempt anything that outrageous on me.

"It's nice to see how loud you can laugh," Felix chuckled, amused at the sight of my laughter.

My smile vanished though.  "Thanks?" I wasn't sure if that was a compliment.

The two loud mouths noticed the sudden shift in the atmosphere, it became gloomy.

What a shocker.

Somehow, I always managed to kill the conversation and made them somehow pessimistic. It did not really faze me since I disliked talking with people anyway, but it's certainly annoying when you catch it in the moment.

The freckled boy then cleared his throat, "Oh right—do you, do you want to meet up a cafe or library for the project?"

My eyes heightened and I stopped walking. The project completely slipped my mind!

I turn back to see Felix's careful gaze on me, his hands fidgeted slightly and there was a nervous prompt illustrated on his face. It's like he's trying to best to hold on to something, scared of it slipping away, but not sure on how to grasp it.

Was I scary to him? Did he think I was going to bite him or something?

"Let's meet up at the new café a few blocks away from school. Saturday at 2?"
