Mercy POV
I stare at him as he wakes up, he groans and lays back down. He looks to his left and sighs.
Jughead:Dad.
FP wakes up with a gasp and he calms down. He walks up to him with a few moans but he makes it to his side.
FP:Jug.
Jughead:What did I miss?
FP looks at me and Jug follows his eyes and they widen when they land on me, I smirk.
"You should see the other person."
FP sits down again and speaks.
"What you did brought every Serpent I've ever known out of the woodwork and you would've been proud of 'em, boy. It looked like we were gonna win the day, but in the end there were just... Just too many Ghoulies. It was like shooting snakes in a barrel.
Jughead:quietly*Why? Why did you go? Both of you.
FP:We wanted to avenge you.

I gently lean up and stare at him, his eyes not meeting mine or Jugheads.
Me:FP...
FP:He's alive.
Jughead:Fangs is a alive?
I sit back and wipe my eyes, to avoid any tears from falling. I thought I got to the hospital too late. I thought I was one of the reasons he died. I put my head in my hands.
FP:Mercy...
Me:I thought I was too late, I thought I was driving too slow. I thought I was one of the reasons my close friend died.
I bounce my leg the pain not registering as my anxiety starts up all over again.
Jughead:You said a cop called you.
FP:Yeah. That was a lie.
Jughead:A ploy, you mean.. To goad the Serpents into a fight they couldn't win. All of riot night was a Hiram Lodge orchestrated mousetrap. And the serpents followed me right into it.

He gets up, I gently hug Jughead and FP gently hits his hand and we walk out. I go to the waiting room and see a zoned out Betty.
Me:Betty.
She turns to me and walks up to us.
Me:He's awake, go ahead.
Betty:Thanks, and um I need to talk to you later.
Me:Alright. If I'm not here call me okay?
