What hero's journey would be complete without a self-imposed exile? Witness Archie Andrews. Just as Luke Skywalker went to planet Dagobah, so, too, has Archie been in the Canadian hinterlands, wondering what dark demons he would have to conquer before being able to finally, to go home. And speaking of home, since the quarantine the crime rate in town had risen. There had been, for instance, a series of daring cat burglaries.

It's been five weeks since we were cut off from the rest of the world. The quarantine's been lifted, but the town still hasn't gotten its pep back. And though above ground, Riverdale was a haunted shell of its former self, underground at Veronica's La Bonne Nuit, life was the image she wanted for her speak easy. Life was beautiful.

Mercy POV

I lean against my head board staring at my phone waiting for my alarm to go off. I get up and shower before heading downstairs, making me some breakfast. My mom should be home when after I leave out for school. I pour the eggs over and bacon pieces and hash browns before mixing it up and sitting down, my eyes drooping from time to time.

Since we made it back inside I haven't been able to sleep with a restful intent without waking up at 3 am sometimes 3:02 wide awake. I tried sleeping earlier only to wake up earlier than the normal time, I'd go to sleep later only to sleep less time. I've tried the keep your eyes closed when you wake up but it'll just get annoying. I've tried melatonin but that hardly works. My mom says its nerves and anxiety but I've had anxiety issues and I can't believe that's why I'm not sleeping my full six, nine and sometimes four hours.

When I walk into school I keep my head on my destination.

I sit in a lawn chair next to a standing FP as Jughead talks to the Serpents about something Betty next to him.

Jughead:It's come to my attention that one of of us has been dealing Fizzle Rick's. Slinging dope is not what Serpents do. So from this moment on, we're going clean there'll be no selling or doing drugs. No crime of any kind will be tolerated. Anyone that breaks the Serpent code will be exiled. Permanently.

Cheryl:I think it's pretty ridic that you vanish for a month on some vision quest with, your bestie, only to return and lecture us about responsibility.

Fangs:We got no money coming in, Jug. I mean, how are we supposed to eat, survive?

FP:We'll figure it out and get back to you, Fangs. All of you. In the meantime," In unity, there is strength. "

We all recite him but Cheryl and Toni. I squint at them and lean forward on my elbows. Once everyone is dismissed I walk back into the Jones home. I sit on the couch and slip my headphones on and close my eyes.

I'm guessing I dozed off because soon my leg is being shaken, I sit up and see Fangs, FP and Jughead. I sit up and rub my eyes.

Me:My bad, I'll head out.

FP:You're fine, Mercy... But we found out who was selling drugs.

I frown and look at Fangs, he looks away from me and sits on the coffee table. I sit up completely and focus on what's going on.

Jughead: If you were hard up, you could've talked to me.

You weren't here, Jug.

Fangs:The Quarantine happend, I needed money, You were gone.

FP:Well then, you could've talked to me. And what do you need money for?

Fangs sniffles and looks away, I grab his hand and he looks at me.
