From the start this story has been about a town, and the people who lived in that town, and the darkness   that lived in some of those people. Clifford Blossom.
The Black Hood,
The Gargoyle King,
The Stones, add to their ranks, my sister, Jellybean, who had been the voyeur/Auteur, was making the video tapes and disturbing our town for months.

Mercy POV

I pull up to the gym Munroe in tow, we're a little later than the rest because I had to get him to calm down.

Jughead:Glad you could join us.

Me:Shut up, Jones. Hello Sheriff Keller, how are you?

He smiles at me and we open the door to the gym. Flashlights in hand. As we head for the center of the building. We make it to the ring and the older men pull up the edge of drapes, showing kids underneath like rodents. I get lower and I smile.

Me:Let's go, you little demons.

Archie:Mercy.

Jughead:She's not wrong.

Once they file out, I see Malcom try to be the last one to make it out, he freezes when he sees Munroe. He about to lose his life. Once Sheriff Keller gets the unaccounted for children we leave Munroe snapping at Malcom all the way to their house. I would've said something but, sometimes you just shut up and that was the time.

I stay in the car until Munroe comes back, he gets in the car and I slowly start the car back up.

Munroe:He's lucky my grandma saved his little ass.

Me:I was afraid you were gonna fly back there and ring his neck, I was thinking of an explanation to give your grandma.

Munroe:He's always getting in unnecessary trouble for no reason! I understand if there isn't something that he could do, it is! He just chooses to do bad! It's like he wants to throw his life away.

Me:He's still a kid, Roe-

Munroe:I don't care Mercy. Half the time he's just acting stupid and the other he's following his friends. I don't get it.

Me:Well... Think about the crap we've went through... We've experienced the "normal" Riverdale they were little kids when times were good. It's not their fault their town is a breeding ground for bad news.

Munroe:He doesn't get the same second chances half of these kids do and you know that.

Me:Yes I do, but that's why it's up to us to grow up, become better adults and come and teach them. Come on tomorrow is our last day of school and after that graduation.

He exhales and we get out of the car. Once we're inside we get ready for bed.

______________

I stand with the rest of the Seniors as Mr. Weatherbee explains the time capsule.

Mr. Weatherbee: Seventy-five years ago, the first senior class of Riverdale High buried a time capsule just before they graduated. And now as our seniors prepare for their own graduation, it's time to open it.

Cheryl and Toni open the rusted tin and pull things out. Showing us.

Cheryl:A copy of the Riverdale register from June 12, 1945.

Toni:A copy of the Blue and Gold also from that same year.

Cheryl:This one's for Jughead. A Pop's menu from when hamburgers only cost 15 cents.
