Mercy POV

Once we pull up to the site, we get out walking towards it. I see FP coming to stop us.

Me:What happened, FP?

FP:We don't know the answer to that yet. We're working on it.

Betty:It's him.

We look at her, and I frown in confusion.

Betty:He's back, the black hood.

Me:How do you know?

FP:What?

Veronica:Betty's dad was on that bus.

Betty:He was being transferred to Hiram's prison. He's out there Mr. Jones.

FP:No, no. Betty. No one survived this crash, I'm... I'm sorry.

Me:Did you find all bodies?

Betty:Are you positive?

FP:There were five inmates on that bus, one bus driver, that's six in total which is... The number of heads we found. DNA tests will confirm it if we can't piece everyone back together, but... I'm sorry.

He looks at me before walking away, I walk to Betty and she's looking straight ahead.

Betty:He asked for this transfer. He wanted this. What if he planned this? What if he escaped? He could still be out there.

She walks away and me and Veronica look at each other, I look towards the burnt bus and sigh, if he did all this to be free, then I'm really worried.

I walk into the Jones house and I see JellyBean and Jughead in the kitchen.

Me:My favorite Joneses how are you doing?

Jughead:Where have you been?

Me:What do you mean?

Jughead:It's been wild.

Me:Ohh, tell me about it. Also what happened to your dad?

Jughead:That's apart of it and two JB is playing G&G.

JellyBean:I said I'd stop.

Me:Yeah, that game has some real weirdos playing it. You should steer clear.

JB:Why is everyone so freaked out about it? It's just pretend quests and costumes.

Jughead:Who was in costume?

JB:Well, Ricky had those ears and I had a crown.

Me:The elf and the princess?

JB:And the Gargoyle King, of course.

I frown and look at Jug.

Jughead:Wait, you met the Gargoyle King? Like in person? What happened?

JB:He gave me and Ricky a quest.

Me:You talked to him?

Jughead:What did he say?

JB:Said I couldn't enter the Kingdom. Not until I have the gospel. That was our next quest.

Jughead:"The Gospel" what's the gospel?

JB:I don't know, we haven't found it. But Ricky said that the Gospel is where the Gargoyle King keeps all his secrets.

I smack the table and stand up.
