Mercy POV
I over the script as I walk down to the auditorium. I never told Kevin I'd be in some play let alone a musical. All I know is I find a script in my bookbag with a post it note with "pretty please" on it.
Jenson:You got one too huh?
Me:Yup. You doing it?
Jenson:*shrugging*I don't see why not. Can't hurt.
We walk inside and up to the stage where everyone else is. Once we sit down Kevin starts.
Kevin:Welcome to Carrie, The musical.
Then here comes Fangs scooting a chair up, I hold in my giggle and Kevin nods. I see Jughead come in with a camera.
Kevin:Okay, Next, introductions.
Archie:I'm Archie, I'm playing Tommy Ross the boy next door.
Betty:I'm Betty, I play Sue Snell The good girl.
Veronica:Veronica Lodge, Playing mean girl, Chris Hargensen.
Of course Cheryl is being dramatic has to stand up and speaks.
Cheryl:I'm Cheryl blossom, playing the iconic role of Carrie White.
As she sits down Josie decides to be a 3rd grader.
Josie:*cough*tone deaf.
Toni looks at me and I lean forward directly to her.
Me:We ain't doing that, either leave or shut up.
Josie:Excuse me?
Kevin:She's right, on this stage no outside matters are real.
Betty:Who's playing your mom? Margaret White.
Alice:I am.
I jump and Jenson rubs my back as he covers his snicker. We turn and see Ms. Cooper walk inside. Great she fits the roll.
Betty:Mom?
Ethel:Wait, seriously?
Kevin:Settle down. Yes, it's untraditional but to me there's nothing more amateur than age-inappropriate casting.
He's got a point. I always find it cringe worthy when a teenage pubescent boy is supposed to be a father and his voice cracks while he's yelling at the supposed kid.
Alice:I'm really looking forward to getting to know who this woman is, you know get under her skin. And of course, to spend some quality time with my daughter, Elizabeth.
I'm loving this already. Soon I hear foot steps and I see Chuck, I grin a little and he speaks.
Chuck:Uh, sorry. I thought rehearsals were in the music room.
Kevin:No problem. All are welcome here.
I feel Jenson tense up and I frown and look at him. I thought they got over everything? He pulls his seat up next to me. I smile at him and he sorta decompresses smiling back.

Jughead:So Mercy Johnson, why did you say yes to being in the musical?
Me:I didn't...i just found the script in my bag with a sticky note saying "pretty please" Kevin is lucky I trust him or it would've been in the garbage.
