Mercy POV
Me, Betty, Jughead and Veronica all sit around a table and talk about the confession.
Me:I don't think she killed him... They probably set something up, Jason was on the swim team. He would have known if a undercurrent had taken him to swim parallel to the beds.
Betty:Yeah but panicking can make you forget that.
Me:The waters were calm where they were. So...
Jughead:Maybe she is covering something up, Jason was found dead with a head shot and we all know they were close... Too close to just let one die without the other. Or to kill the other.
Veronica:So she's not guilty?
Me:Probably...
Soon someone mentions the blossoms coming in and taking Cheryl.

I walk with the trio to the student lounge when Archie comes up and grabs me pulling me back gently. Everyone looks at us and Archie gives a fake smile.
Archie:We'll be right there.
They walk off all three looking back from time to time until they make it in the lounge looking through the window, I look at Archie.
Archie:I lied.
Me:About?
He looks around and comes closer and I frown. He leans and whispers.
Archie:I told Mr. Weatherbee and sheriff Keller that you were with me that morning writing songs with Vegas.
Hold on, wait a damn minute. I smack his arm and he sighs.
Archie:I know I know but I couldn't give them the real truth!
Me:Fine, but I swear to God Archie -
Archie:You won't get in trouble! We went at 8 and you just helped me write a couple of parts for songs. We heard the gun shot and you advised me not to go investigate.
Me:Alright.
Archie:Were you anywhere else that may contradict this?
Me:Yes, but don't worry, that won't come up during this.
He cocks his head to the side and I smirk and shake my head.
Me:Another story for another time.
Archie:Come on! I told you my deepest secret!
Me:I'll tell you later, the group is looking at us like we're plotting something evil. Come on.
We walk inside and I sit on couch Archie next to me Kevin and the others infront and on the side of us.
Veronica:So are you a suspect now?
Kevin:My dad says we all are, including me.
Veronica:Not me girl. I don't know these people.
Kevin:Guys, should we maybe re-binge making a murderer on Netflix tonight?
Betty:Sorry gotta stay late to work on the paper.
Veronica:Count me out too, I've got a date tonight.
Archie:You do?
