Like the Red Death showing up in an Edgar Allen Poe story, the Black Hood had come to Riverdale. With that Grimmest of reapers looming over us, how did we cope? In the case of Archie and Veronica, it was through carnal defiance. With every kiss and embrace, they seemed to be saying, "You have no power over me, Death." In fact, "Varchie" became the opposite of death. In Archie's bedroom... In his garage... Even in the Pembrooke. After all, if our young lovers dared to defy the Black Hood, why not risk Hiram Lodges wrath as well?

I walk into the blue and gold seeing Jughead and Betty smiling like a happy couple. I smirk as I make my presence known.

Me:What's the word People?

Jughead:My dad is getting out of jail.

Me:Finally! Took em long enough, let's do a party!

Archie:Yeah, jug that's... That's great.

I look at him in confusion that doesn't sound too great Archie.

Veronica:Yeah what heralded this miracle?

Jughead and Archie look at each other and Jughead looks at me, before he speaks.

Jughead:Uh, overcrowding at the jail, I guess the judge reviewed my dad's case and after Cheryl's testimony it was... A perfect storm.

Archie:What do you need from us Jug?

Betty:Both of us, we have a new lead on the black hood case. And Jughead and I we were wondering if you guys would follow up on it for us. We can give you all of the details, the articles. It's just I have to be there for my dad to help with his re-entry, so.

Betty:Uh, yeah and I'm just... I'm taking a break from the Black Hood.

Veronica:Wait, so, you want us to be you guys?

Me:Oh this is gonna be amazing to watch.

Jughead:Essentially, yes. Why, is there a problem with that?

Me:I see alot of problems with that.

Archie:Not at all.

Me:Well I'm going for the show.

Jughead:Actually, I need your help with something.

Me:God what?

Jughead:I'm sure he wants to see you, so do you think you and the serpents can get something together?

Me:Sure. Well if that's all, peace out I have party planning to do, such little time so many ideas! I'll meet you at the Wyrm.

I walk out and I go to my car. Once I make it home I see Sheriff Keller's car oh boy here we go. I nod to him once we meet as he leaves and I see my mom and dad on the couch.

Me:Whats the problem?

Dad:We got a letter from the Black Hood.

Me:Uh, well don't get too scared.

Mom:It said the same thing as everything else he said, us being sinners and how he'll cleanse the town, other houses have gotten this same letter.

Me:So... Do we have a issue? Like are we?

Dad:No, well I mean not here in Riverdale. I may have kicked up some dust in other places.
