Mercy POV

I lay against Jenson as I play with my waffle. After everything that happened last night, it put me in a funk. It's not at the point of being overwhelmed but it's draining and I'm not even going through it.

Jenson:Maybe you need to take a step back from Riverdale's latest drama.

Me:I can't, because as soon as I do something happens that I am required to be there for.

Jenson:Well, I'm glad you beat that punks ass, even if it means you hurt yourself.

I look down at my knuckles and shrug.

Me:They don't hurt.

Soon my phone rings and I pick up.

Me:Yes dad?... I'm with Jenson... Why do we have to come to the Coopers house?... Fine.

I groan and rub my head sitting up.

Me:I need you for my alibi. Please?

Jenson:For when?

Me:A few nights ago, when it was me, you, Jug and Toni.

Jenson:Oh yeah after the first part of his initiation.

Me:Yup, something happened and now all the parents are having a meeting and somehow I'm involved.

We get up and we get our food to go before we get into my car just to drive to the Coopers house. Once we pull up he pulls his jacket off and I raise an eyebrow.

Jenson:You said the Coopers I remember the names from the news articles the last thing I need is you and me targeted for anything.

I nod until I notice the sheriff car and mayor's car.

Me:And the mayor and sheriff's car is here. *sighs* My head hurt.

Jenson:Relax.

We walk inside and everyone is already there, including Reggie his mom and I'm confused. I see my dad and he nods for us to come in.

Alice:Oh hello, who's this new face?

Jenson:I'm Jenson.

Alice:Nice to meet you Jenson please have a seat.

I sit down and Jenson stands behind me next to my dad.

Alice:Riverdale's best and brightest, huh?

Mayor:Alice, Thank you for hosting.

Alice:Of course, Mayor McCoy. When I heard what happened at Nick's Party, I decided that we should come together to deal with this motley crew of liars, dope-fiends, and fornicators.

Me:Excuse-

Dad:Hush Mercy.

I lean back and huff, she better watch her mouth I know that much.

Alice:Except for my Betty, who was smart enough to leave the party before it descended into a bacchanalian free for all...

Betty:Oh my God mom please don't.
