Chapter 27 - Selene

— your POV —

I destroy the source and the portal starts closing. I wanted to fly to the portal, but someone grabbed me on my leg and stopped me. As I look down I see someone I thought I would never see again. My anger increases and I grab the person and fly with them through the portal.

I fly straight down and smash her on the ground, right next to Steve, Natasha and Clint.

-Steve: "Y/n, what are you doing?", I look at him with no expression on my face, lead by my anger.

I create black smoke so that it's hard to see through.

-Y/n: "I thought you were dead."
-Selene: "Hello to you too. Please be nicer the next time.", she stands up.
-Y/n: "There won't be a next time."
-Selene: "I see you haven't changed."
-Y/n: "Wrong. You haven't changed, I did."
-Selene: "Then what is all the fuss about?"

I let the smoke disappear and hug her. A Chitauri came running towards us. We both took out our daggers, stabbed him and cut it in half. I missed her, we were actually a good team.

-Y/n: "Is Ares also back?"
-Selene: "No, I haven't heard or seen from him."
-Natasha: "Whoever you are, we could use a little help.", she said while a lot of remaining Chitauri are attacking her and the rest.

Selene and I are looking at each other, then we smiled and attacked the Chitauri. It made a lot of fun and I felt like home again. After every Chitauri was dead and we were covered in blood, we had to hug again.

-Selene: "I forgot how much fun you were."
-Tony: "You call that fun!? You scared everyone and now they think that you two are the monsters."

As soon as I saw him I turned my hair and eyes back to my usual colour.

-Selene: "Yes it was fun and who cares about the rest, right?"
-Steve: "Who is she, Y/n?"
-Tony: "Do you even know how much damage you created?"
-Natasha: "Tony, come down. Let's talk about this at the headquarter."
-Selene: "Y/n, who are these people and why do you let them talk to you like that?"
-Tony: "You're not allowed to talk. I'm the first one who gets any answers."
-Selene: "What did you just say, old man?", I got more and more annoyed because they don't let me answer anything.
-Y/n: "SHUT THE FUCK UP EVERYONE!", while I screamed I killed a Chitauri, that we missed, to give my anger some air.
-Loki: "Let's go to the headquarter.", he said as he noticed that the people are looking at us.

On the way no one talked at all. We were all way too angry and it would just be chaos. Because Selene didn't want to drive with anyone I had to fly her. Then we finally arrived. As we walked inside no one talked.

-Selene: "What is this awful place?", she is the only one who doesn't care about the whole situation.
-Peter: "Mr. Stark what happened? The news are reporting about Y/n and... h- hi.", he said shy when he saw Selene.
-Fury: "In the conference room. Everyone.", he just looked over the edge.
-Peter: "Me too?"
-Fury: "Yes.", we heard him shouting.
-Selene: "What are you doing here? Is this another mission of you, I really hope so.", she whispers to me while we are following the others.
-Y/n: "Yes it is.", I whisper back

We go into the conference room. Everyone sits down except for me and Selene and Loki is just standing in one edge of the room.

-Fury: "Who is she, Winter?"
-Selene: "I'm standing right here!", she was pissed off.
-Fury: "You are not allowed to talk right now. Agent Winter.", she looks at me and I nod to give her a sign that it's okay
-Y/n: "Selene, the goddess of the moon also known as my sister."
-Natasha: "Your sister? You don't even look alike.", everyone was shocked.
-Steve: "You never told us about your sister."
-Y/n: "Right, because that's none of your goddamn business, when are you all going to realise that?"
-Fury: "You two brought chaos to the humans. They think that you're the enemies and now they think that we are enemies too. That's all your fault."
-Y/n: "As if I would care. I closed that damn portal and fought against them. I don't care how I do it, I just do it and it worked every time."
-Fury: "Here are rules that must be followed!", he got angry.
-Y/n: "I am not a part of the Avengers. I just had a mission."
-Loki: "Had?"
-Y/n: "You don't think that I'm staying any longer, do you?"

I made a sign to Selene that we are leaving and she followed me. As we almost reached the door Steve followed us.

-Steve: "Can I talk to you?", he looks at Selene and then back at me, "alone?"
-Selene: "I'm waiting outside. I won't stay longer in here.", I nod.
-Y/n: "Tell me to go somewhere else with you.", I whisper to Steve.
-Steve: "Let's go to the living room."
-Y/n: "I won't stay any longer.", I make gestures that he should play along.
-Steve: "5 more minutes won't kill you."
-Y/n: "Fine."

I look behind me to check if Selene was watching us and of course she was. I role my eyes towards her and show her a five with my hand. She nods and I follow Steve to the living room.
