Relationships Are Hard...

Relationships aren't supposed to be hard. Relationships are hard work, that is supposed to be worth the effort, that it takes to overcome the hardships together, whenever things aren't easy(going).

Relationships aren't supposed to be about being perfect. Relationships are supposed to be about two imperfect beings, who are learning how to be a better person, and be a better partner, together.

Love is about two people, both people; that's why marriage is when two become one; partners are supposed to be a team. Teamwork makes the dream work in reality.

You won't be happy all the time: neither individually, nor as a couple. However you, and you two, should have joy. Joy isn't dependent on happiness; joy transcends all moods - as an overall feeling: serenity. Serenity, in relationships, is knowing that, no matter what, you two will be strong, and stronger together. This is like the wedding vows you will take or have already taken.

To love is to trust someone enough to be vulnerable, and to be loved back, by someone, is being deemed trustworthy enough, by them, to be worthy of that vulnerability, and vice versa.

That is the power of love: strength in weakness and strength through weakness. When one is weak, the other is strong. You two empower each other, and you two encourage each other, in love.
