Third Person's POV

The woman felt hesitant in accepting the strange offer from him, yet she shrugged it off and soon followed Yosetsu. They both tried to go to this hiding spot of his without being caught by the guards. The walk was quite bumpy as they had to try to take shorter routes such as climbing on buildings and going over them.

"Alright, all we have to do is just cross over there from here." Awase said as he pointed towards the little balcony area which seems to be his place.

"But...that's gonna be hard to cross." She replied in concern, looking down and seeing how high they're up.

Awase soon got himself a long wooden plank and placed it at both edges of the building, "Just trust me and follow."

Yosestu stood on the plank carefully before casually walking on it and making it across as if nothing happened.

"I mean, it's okay if you can't make it across. I can always give you hand to help--" He was then cut off by the sight of her casually walking on the plank and making it across as well.

"You were saying?" She smirked.

Yosestu blinked and soon chuckled, "Looks like you aren't the type of lady for assistance, aren't you?"

"Not all."

They both made it in and the woman was quite in awe seeing the numerous things he got, or perhaps stole.

"I never knew you stole this quite many." She spoke as she sat down on what seems to be his bed.

"Well I mostly stole these as for money, mostly just to buy food and all those sorts." He chuckled as he grabbed an apple out of his bag and made a cool trick before having it thrown to the lady-in-waiting.

She caught the apple and giggled before taking a bite.

"Your name's Yosestu, right? Yosestu Awase?"

"Yeah, and this here is Abu. My trusty loyal pal." Yosetsu gestured to his little friend who was eating a banana.

"It's amazing how you're still able to live after all these years. I mean, by now you would've been get caught nut surprisingly, you aren't."

"Meh, I'm just naturally good at taking care of myself and Abu. My parents both died so I had to at least try something for me to live. Being independent is quite something I'm good at." He chuckled.

"My father-- I mean the princess never seem to get her father to see how stronv her daughter can be. How confident enough she is to rule this kingdom, yet the king still continues to send more princes to her whether she liked it or not." The woman sighed.

Awase sat down beside her, "That must be rough for her. She is quite beautiful and kind, which makes sense why guys would want to marry her so bad. But she's right at the same time, she should be the one to decide how she wants to rule whether it's with a prince or not."

The woman scoffed, "I bet you're one of those guys who like her, huh?"

Yosetsu chuckled as he laid down on his bed, "Honestly, I do like her a lot. There's no doubt I fell for her even if I'm aware she has no romantic feelings for anyone as of the moment, but I still love her despite the low chance I'm getting to be with her."

The woman secretly blushed as she looked at the opposite direction.

Although as Awase started to look at the woman, he couldn't help but feel his heart fluttering seeing such a beautiful woman right in front of him. He lied about falling in love with the princess, because he suddenly fell for the woman right in front of him instead.

They were both in complete awkward silence and Abu was just there, not really knowing what's happening here.

"How about you, lady-in-waiting? Got anyone you're interested with or at least someone who caught your eye?"

"Not really...I guess I'm kind of the same like the princess where I have no romantic feelings for anyone yet." She nervously chuckled.

Yosetsu sat up, "It's not that bad to fall for someone. I'm honestly those types of people where they would do anything to meet or be with the princess, yet I don't think that's something I can have on my agenda."

She giggled, "You being with the princess? Please, I don't think a thief and a princess would go well together."

He chuckled, "Yeah I guess, you're right...how about a lady-in-waiting like you?~"

She blushed, "I don't think I'm your type."

"Not my type? Hmm...let's see...a girl who is beautiful, brave, confident and kind? I think those are the things that I love about a woman like you." He smirked.

Little did Awase know was that the girl who assumed was the lady-in-waiting was actually the princess.

Then, trumpet sounds began to be heard from the distant as voices of the people began to rush at a certain place, most probably the entrance of their kingdom.

The woman stood up in worry and panic, "Oh no.."

"What's wrong?" Yosetsu asked.

"I-I have to go..! I need-- I mean, the princess has to get ready and I'm supposed to be there to help her!! It was really nice knowing you Yosetsu but I must be on my way." The woman said as she rushed to get herself to the wooden plank they used.

Awase rushed to catch up to her as he held out the bracelet he got from her, "W-Wait!! You forgot your--"

As soon as he was about to finish his sentence, the woman soon was far away which couldn't make his voice be heard by her anymore.

"Your...bracelet.." He mumbled.

Abu climbed up to Awase's shoulder and looked at him with worry.

"I know buddy, we'll just have to try to find a way to bring it back to her....somehow.."
