Harry's POV

"I'm pregnant."

Those words just kept looping through my brain.

"I'm pregnant."

Over and over and over and over.

"I'm pregnant."

Like a giant neon sign blinking at me.

Only auditory.

"I'm pregnant."

Fuck.

"I'm pregnant."

I'm going to be a father.

"I'm pregnant."

I'm going to be a father.

"Harry..."

Echo's pregnant...

"Harry..."

I'm going to be a fucking father.

"Babe." The slight tremble in Echo's voice shook me out of my stupor. "Please say something."

My hand goes to her lower abdomen. "My baby is in there?"

She looks up at me. Her eyes shining with tears. "Yeah."

"I'm gonna be a Dad?"

"Yes, babe. You're going to be a Dad."

Something clicks. My eyes flick to the nurse. "Are my babies okay?"

She looks down at me. Still holding, Echo's abdomen. She must put together that I'm talking about both the baby and Echo.

"Yes. From what was in the chart, both baby and mom are doing good. Your wife does have a bruised kidney, and a few rib fractures. But considering how serious the accident was, she is incredibly lucky."

I connect my lips to Echo's forehead.

She's okay. Our baby is okay.

"Breathe, babe." Echo touches my face.

I suck in a breath.

They're okay.

After the nurse walks out of the room, I press my lips to Echo's. "I'm going to take care of both of you. I promise baby. You'll both be safe."

Echo's silver grey eyes stare into mine. I can see the fear swirling in their depths.

She's terrified.

I don't know if it's because she doubts that I will keep her safe.

Or if it's because she is scared of being a parent.

Fuck.

I'm terrified.

I don't want to fuck this up.

I love her.

God I fucking love her.

She's never tried to change me.

She's never once tried to make me be someone I'm not.

But I have changed.

Loving her, it's made me better.

I'm still going to rip her brother's arms off and beat him with them.

We stayed in the hospital for three days.

My mum picked us up in my car and drove us home.

Echo felt like shit.

As soon as we got off of the elevator she was rushing for the bathroom.
