Hailey's POV

Jay and I had been dating for three months now, and it was going really well. Ofcourse we had little bumps in the road, which was completely normal. We'd hang out with each other after work most evenings, then spend the weekend with each other. But, there was absolutely no pressure on either side, and if we wanted to cancel a weekend together or whatever, there was no judgment. It was perfect.

We were all getting ready to roll out for the evening, when I felt a delicate poke on my shoulder from behind. "Yes, Jay?" I questioned with a little smirk, knowing exactly who it was without needing to turn around. "How'd you know it was me?" Jay pouted, sounding like a child. "I don't know, psychic I guess" I shurgged, throwing my bag over my shoulder. "Anyway, before this gets weirder, what did you want?" I added, seeing how it could end on a really bizzar note. "Remember how you said you'd always wanted to see The Proposal?" Jay asked, crossing his arms. "Yes" I nodded, remembering the conversation we had other day about it. "Well, I've rented it and thought you might wanna watch it tonight. What do you say?" Jay asked, his eyes mischievously glowing. "See, this is why you're my favorite human" I winked teasingly, throwing my coat over my shoulders. "I'll take that" Jay smiled, as we walked off towards the steps- waving our goodbyes to everyone on the way.

At Jay's apartment, we both flopped down onto his sofa with a beer each in-hand. As Jay scrolled through the his TV to find the movie, I scooched closer and rested my head on his shoulder; it fit perfectly. "You're a good pillow" I said, looking up to him with just my eyes. "Thankyou" Jay chuckled, wrapping his spare arm around me and pressing play on the remote.

General POV

Jay and Hailey both laughed uncontrollably, at the hilarious scenes in the film. Both their somachs were in great need of a rest from the laughter, yet they weren't even close to being done. Jay had scene the film countless times, so it wasn't all that funny to him anymore; it was Hailey that he was in hysterics with. Her laugh turned into a cackle at the most funniest moments, and- occasionally- a snort crept in making the entire situation ten times worse; but Jay loved every moment of it. It was the first time he'd seen Hailey laugh to much, or even laugh properly to be fair. Her laughs were usually short and closed off, but her laughter was as pure as it would get in that moment. "Oh my God, this film's amazing" Hailey ghapsed between laughter, finding it almost impossible to breath. "Yep" Jay agreed, taking a swig of his drink. "Why you looking at me like that?" Hailey asked, her laughter dying down and she became self-conscious. Jay wasn't looking at her in any other way exept in pure awe and love; he was totally in love with. "Like what?" Jay asked. "Like you are right now" Hailey replied, pointing to his face as an emphasis. "Because you're laugh is everything, and I love you even more when you laugh like that" Jay answered like it was the most casual thing ever. Hailey froze, it was the first time either of them had said "I love you", and she certainly wasn't expecting it so soon. "I'm sorry, did you just..."

"Say I love you? Yeh" Jay confirmed confidentally, a nervous and loving smile on his face and eyes. "You don't have to say it back, I wasn't planning on saying it, it just came out" Jay explained, not wanting to pressure Hailey into saying something she wasn't ready to say. "Shh" Hailey hushed, closing the gap between them and pressing her lips against his. "I love you, too" She whispered, their lips only now separated just millimetres. Jay didn't reply, only closing the gap between them and kissing Hailey- it quickly turning pacionate.
