"So tonight we're Dancing, bare foot in the kitchen"- Chris Young, so tonight we're dancing
You don't have to have listened to the song to get the feels of this one shot, however I would recommend that you do to really feel all the emotions.

Like the calmness in the eye of the storm, gentle music played in the background on the record player as Hailey and Jay cuddled up on the floor infront of the fire. Jay had came back into the apartment looking like he'd just seen a ghost, worrying Hailey. In the span of forty-five minutes, Jay had gone from saying I love you and reassuring Hailey that they were going to be okay, to coming home rather late and looking pale as a sheet.
Jay didn't want to talk about the situation right away, but Hailey forced it out of him. Keeping things from each other hadn't worked in the past, they needed each other to be able to plough through the storm alive. Jay understood why Hailey was so pushy- and he would have been too if Hailey was him- so he sat her down on the sofa and explained the situation. Scotty had found Roy's body and now Hailey and Jay had two choices: either be arrested and charged for murder, or help Scotty take down Voight.
Hailey thought things were awful when the words "They've found the body" but her stomach done triple flips when Jay told her the ultimatum. Never the less, as hard as it was, the two had chosen the second option: Take down Voight. In the gut, it felt wrong, however, both knew that it was the right choice.
His time for reckoning had came.
Once they'd made their decision, Hailey and Jay put it under the rug for the evening; all the wanted was to be with each other properly. They hadn't been on good terms for weeks, barely touched, barely talked, but for some reason over the last few days, things had changed for the better....when it came to their relationship anyway. Hailey's heart properly eased when Jay's soft voice on the other end of the phone said I love you and we're going to he okay. Jay was always right when it came to them, even when Hailey second guessed it, so she fully trusted that her and Jay were in fact going to be more than okay.
And that's how they wound up on the floor cuddled up into each other, tracing random patterns soothingly on each other. It was amazing. Finally, the feeling of normalcy had came back.
"What you thinking, Hails?" Jay whispered, kissing the crown of Hailey's head below him.
"Honestly, nothing besides how much I love you" Hailey answered, titling her dead to look at Jay.
"Mmm" Jay hummed contently, holding her back against his chest just that little bit tighter.
Being wrapped in each other's arms wasn't something either were fully used too still, even if it had been months since that night in the bar.
"Thankyou, for staying" Hailey said, bending her head and kissing Jay's jaw delicately.
"Always. I meant it when I said I wasn't going anywhere" Jay reminded Hailey, wrapping her hand in his. "For better for worse. To love and to cherish, till death do part us" Jay quoted in the quietest tone ever, a silent yet loud promise to Hailey.
