After clumsily running into a door whilst chasing a lead along side Jay, Hailey earned herself a nasty gash to the side of her cheek. It probably should have had a few stitches in it, but Hailey was stubborn and argued against going to Med- contrary to what Voight and Jay thought.
Once they all got back to the district and got the criminal sorted in lockup for the time being, Hailey sneaked off into the locker room to try and sort out her cheek. Jay wasn't wrong, it was a fairly deep gash and enough blood spilled out the stain the side of her cheek, but it wasn't anything Hailey couldn't handle on her own.Pressing a cool, damp paper towel on her cheek to mop up the damage, she let out a hiss of pain. The sting shooting right through her cheek. This went on for a long minute or so, until finally Hailey got all the tried blood of the right side of her face.
In passing however, Jay heard the hisses of pain coming from the lockerroom and knew right away who it was. He went in and rounded the corners of the rows of lockers, to find his girlfriend fixing up her mild injury painfully."Hey" Jay quietly spoke off, with a soft and sympathetic smile. "Hey. Who knew a graze could sting so badly" Hailey chuckled, looking at Jay through the mirror. "Smallest are always the worst, and that isn't exactly just a graze" Jay said with raised brows. "Yeh, I know" Hailey mumbled, struggling to get gauze and wool on her without in falling or getting tangled. Carefully, Jay removed Hailey's hands from her cheek and replaced them with his. He looked down at her a smiled, her smiling back in the affectionate moment. Jay diligently worked to patch up the cut in no time at all, and bent down to kiss the cheek better; making Hailey chuckle at the cheesy but adorable gesture. "Thanks, Jay" Hailey blushed, rising to her tippy toes to kiss her partner and boyfriend on the cheek. "So, PDA is allowed at work now....just aslong as nobody else is around" Jay smirked, catching Hailey out in the moment. "I guess" Hailey shrugged, grinning through the mirror. "I mean, my cheek doesn't hurt much anymore" Hailey justified her answer. "Oooh, so my kisses are magic?" Jay teased, wrapping his arms around the small Blond's waist as she tidied her mess up. "If that helps you sleep at night" Hailey replied, spinning around to face Jay properly. "It will, and my ego just got a massive boost aswell" Hailey threw her head back and laughed out loud, shaking her head at Jay. "Ofcourse it did"
"You know, I think that might need re-magic kissed later on this evening. Ya know, to boost it" Jay wiggled his brows, making Hailey's heart rate increase with the subtle insinuation of what their evening would contain. "I think so, too. Just as precaution" Hailey agreed, pushing out of Jay's arms and to her locker; needing a minute of gather herself again. "Oh yeh" Jay nodded, before they heard Adam yelling their names dowm the corridor. "Duty calls" Jay groans, rolling his eyes.
"If we're busy, the day will go quicker. Just remember that, Halstead" Hailey winked, pushing infront of Jay and swaying her hips just a little too much. God was she going to be the death of him.
A/N: So, this was inspired by BTS pics of Jesse and Tracy filming and Tracy had a graze on her cheek. We probably won't get any kinda scene like this, because the PD writers are pretty cruel, so here we are. Please vote and leave a comment, Addy❤
I written this way before ep1 aired and we found out they we're engaged, and that in the pic with the gash on her cheek is in ep4...which clearly won't contain any upstead scenes except ones with Hailey completely traumatised

FanfictionJust small chapters on some meaningful upstead moments, that were left with gaps in. The base idea credit to CPD writers, but the gap fillers are all my ideas. Hope you like them🙃
