General POV
After the meal, Jay drove the route back to Hailey's apartment and took a last minute turn in the direction of the last surprise. The sharp and sudden turn scared the bejeesus out of Hailey, earning Jay a string of frightened profanities and colourful names much to his amusment. It was often Hailey scaring Jay, so Jay swam I the glory of getting one over on Hailey. "Where the hell we going, Halstead?" Hailey snapped, having to repeat the question more than once. "Nowhere. You'll see" Jay smirked. "Jay, tell me where we're going! You've made my stomach churn, so tell me where we're going" Hailey insisted, her voice raised with frustration. "Hails, we've taken sharper turns then that" Jay countered, with a small chuckle. "That's made me feel queezy though, so spill" Hailey argued. "Just hang on five mins. Just trust me" Jay said softly. "Okay" Hailey sighed.
Hailey's eyes widened and her jaw dropped, as they approached the final, secret location. She looked up at the dark sky out the car window: stars littered the sky, dazzling so brightly and lighting up the area. Jay watched on, his heart strings tugging at Hailey's exited reaction to it all. He knew Hailey had only ever seen proper stars once when she was little and had always wanted to see them since, so bringing her to the private location was definitely the icing on the cake of the day. "You like it?" Jay asked, his voice so gentle and full of love. "It's beautiful Jay. All of it" Hailey coed, climbing out the car and wandering around a little. "You said you've always wanted to see proper stars again, so" Jay shrugged, joining the blond near the end of the cliff. "Thankyou. you're amazing, Jay" Hailey smiled, kissing Jay to speak the words she couldn't say. "You're the amazing one, Hails" Jay countered, kissing the end of her nose.
For the next hour, the two just sit cuddled together on the grass under the stars. Admiring the stars and basking in the heat and pure aura of love. It was officially their new favourite place to go together, they both declared. The time ticked on fast and Jay knew he only had a small window left, before Hailey started getting tired and wanting to head home; so he gave himself an internal shake and shuffled around to the side of Hailey.
"Hails, I love you beyond all rationality. You're my world and I can't wait to see what the future brings us. I can't see into the future, but I know wherever it'll take us, I want you to be by my side and me by yours" Jay paused for a second to collect himself together a little more, and wipe Hailey's stray tears away. "Hailey, will you marry me?" Jay asked, pulling the box out his shorts and opening it up for Hailey to see the ring. It was his Mum's ring; the ring that ment the world to him, just like Hailey ment the world to him. "Yes, yes" Hailey nodded, crying uncontrollably with happiness. Jay slipped the ring onto Hailey's shaky finger; it fitting perfectly like it was ment to be. "I love you, Jay" Hailey cried, throwing herself into Jay's arms. "I love you, too. I can't wait to marry you, to have children with you" Jay sniffled, kissing the back of Hailey's head. Hailey let out a breathless chuckle, pulling out of Jay's arms and looking longingly into Jay's eyes. "I need to tell you something" Hailey said, taking Jay's hands in hers. "Okay" Jay nodded, encouraging Hailey to go carry on.
"I didn't have beer, because I'm pregnant. Three months, I only found out last night"
Butterfly's flipped in Jay's stomach, his heart raced even faster than it already was. Jay literally had no words, he was totally speechless. Children was something he always wished for, especially with Hailey. Since he couldn't say anything, he pulled Hailey back close to him and kissed her with so much love and passion. "I take that as a good sign" Hailey giggled through her happy tears. "Definitely. I can't believe it. You're carrying our baby. We're gonna be parents" Jay rambled, a massive, goofy grin plastered across his face. "Yeh" Hailey chuckled nervously, but also with so much joy. "Best bloody day ever" Jay screamed, making Hailey laugh so hard.
A/N: So, this is it guys. This is the last part. It was such a tricky one to write with all the different parts within the story- location wise- but I've thurrally enjoyed it. I hope you have enjoyed reading it. Like always, please comment and- if you think the story is good enough- please vote, too.
