"In case you didn't know
Baby, I'm crazy 'bout you
And I would be lyin' if I said
That I could live this life without you
Even though
I don't tell you all the time
You had my heart a long, long time ago
In case you didn't know"- Brett Young

After the most thrilling and exiting evening, with not much sleep, the sun shone through Jay's window and framed Hailey and Jay's sleeping bodies beautifully. Hailey's head was buried deep inside Jay's chest and shoulders, and his arms wrapped around Hailey's so gently, yet so strong and protective. Even in his sleep, Jay protected Hailey.

"Mmm" Hailey stured, her eyes aching when she rolled over and the light lazered her sleepy eyes.

A smile plastered across her sleepy face when she saw Jay's sleeping face above her and the way his arms were wrapped around her entire frame. He looked so peaceful and content, something Hailey rarely saw. She bought her non-jammed hand to his face, tracing random shapes with his vibrant freckles. Jay hated his freckles with a passion, but Hailey loved them so much; totally adorable was how she usually referred to them.

"Hmm, you having fun?" Jay asked sleepily, feeling Hailey's fingers across his face.

"You're freckles, you could paint a story with them" Hailey softly spoke, continuing her invisible master piece.

"What?" Jay chuckled

"Your freckles. If you try hard enough and use your imagination, you can trace pictures" Hailey extended, keeping her full focus on Jay's freckles.

The fact that just the night before they had ripped each others clothes off and kissed each other passionately and more to the end of time and back, didn't even cross their minds. It felt like they'd been doing whatever this was for forever. It felt natural and right.

"What you tracing then?" Jay asked, admiring the beautiful morning face Hailey wears.

"Stars and hearts" Hailey stated simply. "You know, the stars fell into place perfectly- even if it wasn't always easy and they took forever too"

"I like that" Jay smiled, catching Hailey's eyes for the first time since they woke up.

Hailey just hummed quietly, tilting her head so she could reach Jay and give him a morning kiss.

"I like that, too" Jay smiled, leaning back down to steel an extra one.

"Me, too" Hailey agreed, hoping this was just the start of many mornings like that.

"What's the hearts for?" Jay questioned.

"To show how much my heart likes you" Hailey blushed, a glimmer in her eyes saying the true meaning of "Like".

"My heart likes you alot, too" Jay smiled sincerely.

"Not wanting to ruin this sweet and cheesy moment, but what next?" Hailey sucked in a nervous breath, waiting for Jay's answer.

"You mean alot to me, Hails. Way more than just a one night stand and a I like you alot exchange, before moving on and forgetting about it" Jay said, wanting it all with Hailey. For ages he'd been crazily in love with Hailey, and, now that he knew what it was like to have her lips against his and her body between his arms, he never wanted to be without it.

"You mean everything to me, Jay. I don't ever not want to feel like this again" Hailey whispered timidly, laying one of her hands on his cheek.

"How's that?" He was pretty sure he knew the feeling Hailey was on about; however, he still wanted to know exactly how Hailey was feeling for sure.

"Happy, warm.....safe"

"You wanna know something kinda funny?" Hailey just glared at Jay, really not in the mood for jokes after she just poured her heart out to him.

"I feel the same" Hailey's expression and eyes softened, hearing those words and seeing the love swimming in Jay's eyes. In that moment, everything was sealed for Hailey anyway. Jay was it.

"I remember what I was going to tell you in the hospital. I kinda lied yesterday" Hailey said, feeling confident enough to say out loud to Jay.

"I kinda knew you were, but I still wanna hear" Jay replied, earning a playful roll of the eyes off Hailey.

"When you were still in surgery, V came and bought me food and a pair of clean clothes...ones that weren't lathered in blood" Hailey let out a slight shiver and the image flashing to the forefront of her mind again, tears stinging her eyes. "We talked for a little, then she said something about knowing how hard this must be for me. I said something like It's always hard when something like this happens. What she replied with- wearing a totally straight face- almost made me choke. I brushed it off, but her verbally pointing it out made me realise just how much I did" Hailey finished, laughing as Jay brushed away her falling tears with the pad of his thumbs.

"What did she say?" Jay whispered.

"It's hard because you love him" Hailey quoted, her stomach summersaulting aggressively with apprehension.

"You admitting you love me?" Jay teased, Hailey groaning at Jay's awful timing for jokes, but also kinda thankful for it.

"Fine, tease me"

"Hey" Jay lifted Hailey's head up by the chin with his finger delicately, forcing her to look him in the eye.

"I love you, too" A beaming grin sprawled across their faces, the nervous butterfly's now dancing with pure happiness. The words had finally been said!

"I love you" Hailey properly declared, shuffling further up the bed to make it easier to kiss Jay again.

"My joy" Jay mumbled against Hailey's lips, her sealed lips forming a smile against his. He was her joy aswell.

A/N: Well, that's the trilogy one shots finished! I know it's not as steamy as the last one, but I hope the sweetness and emotions made it level. This was definitely my favourite part out of all three to write!

Hope you enjoyed it, and, like always, please comment below your thoughts; they mean the world to me when you do💖
