CHAPTER 9

New's birthday has just started but Tay without a doubt did a good job. Well, so far. And for that, he felt proud. It's still a long day anyway, and the surprises are just beginning.

"Do you wanna go out today? I can take an emergency leave", New is now munching his favorite cake from After You.

Oh crap.

"Aw. I thought you're busy at work and you're not free today. I have a scheduled work this afternoon in Pattaya, but I'll be back before dinner. You don't have plans yet for dinner, right?", Tay reasoned out.

He already schemed out an all day treat for his birthday, although it is quite selfish, the last thing he needs right now is New taking an emergency leave. Hehe

"Did you seriously accept a project on my birthday??", New looked at him in dismay.

"Love, remember I asked you if you wanna go somewhere on your birthday?", his heart racing, New's eyes are about to kill him, "you said you can't and you have a lot of work to finish."

New took a sip on his coffee, he is shaking his head but he didn't say anything.

"Are you mad?", Tay asked nervously.

"Didn't you consider asking me again?", New rolled his eyes.

Oh no. He's not letting this go easily. I'm doomed.

"Love.. I'm sorry. Promise I'll make it up to you", he held New's hand and crammed it with kisses.

"Okay! I need to prepare because I need to go to work, on my birthday!", New stood up from his seat but before he could walk away Tay grabbed his hand.

He pulled him on his lap and cuddled him on his back, "I don't want to have any arguements with you. Let's not ruin this day. Please don't be mad.."

New hugged Tay's arms and he interlocked his fingers to his, "Okay love. Sorry I snapped."

Tay tightened his hug before finally letting him go, "I'll drive you to work, okay?"

"Okaaaayy..", New walked upstairs to prepare for work.

"I'll pick you up later for dinner", Tay said, his car stopped in front of New's office.

"Sure love", he removed his seatbelt and kissed his boyfriend's cheek, "See you later", he said as he hurriedly went out of the car.

"Hey Newwiee!!", Tay was already near him when he turned around, just enough space for Tay to throw him a bear hug.

New couldn't move a muscle as his body was clasped in his lover's arm. He lurked around to see if anyone's looking, "Hey love, what are you doing?", New said tapping Tay's waist.

"Transmitting energy", he said before he let go of his hug, he touched New's head, "I wish you'll have a splendid work today. No stress. No anxiety. Though things may not be perfect, it may not be exactly the way you want them to be, but patience is all you need."

New smiled at him and put his hands together, "Sadhu..", he bowed "Can I go now Sir? I'm seriously running late."

"Happy birthday..", Tay said and kissed his lover's head.

Janhae teased New the moment he entered their office, "Happy birthday Love", she said silently but snickered afterwards.

New's eyebrows met in confusion, the fuck? Did she see me with Tay this morning?
